***** ZBrush 2 Practical Guide *****

many thanks for the full documentation. it adds greatly to the amazing software… Thanks to both the authors of the guide, and the software devels… amazing.

Is there any possibility we can print this manual yet using an online book printer? I had asked this question earlier and I was curious if it was possible yet, or even still in the works. Thanks.

awesome !!!

Great great job !!!

Thanks! :frowning:

Found a bit of a glitch in the Practical Manual:

On the third page of the “Telephone Part 3” tutorial, where it describes the second option for recovering the “original, unmodified mesh”, it says:

“Press Load Tool and load the phone2.ztl model.”

and

“By loading the original model back into subdivision level 1, the level is replaced by the original geometry.”

This doesn’t work. The original mesh must instead be “Imported”, and since Import will not work with a .ztl file, it must first be converted to an .obj. Once this was done, the remainder of the tutorial worked as described.

This one will be helpfull
thanks

downloading,thanks a lot!

:sunglasses: :sunglasses: :sunglasses:

Yup thx a lot :+1:

Oh,it’s great! But i’m a chinese,i can’t read it easily.I hope that it will have more language for we learn.
Second, why it can’t be downloaded by flashget? It’s too slow to use moderm.

Has anyone (Pixologic included) thought about having this printed properly through someone like Cafepress.com. One of the A:M users got permission to do exactly that with the A:M manuals and people do buy.

His is 226 pages and perfect bound and costs $23.78. SO fairly cheap as well.

It means no extra cost for the Zbrush folks but would enable those who would like this printed properly a way to get it.

That goes deep inside. Very useful expert hints. A excellent add-on to the well done tutorials. Thanks for providing the elearning resource for all ZBrushers out there.

best wishes

No joy downloading. Have tried over the past couple of days, but I keep getting returned to the ZBrushCentral’s login page. Any ideas, anyone?

This question has been asked many times in this thread already. The most likely problem is that you have disabled cookies, which ZBrushCentral needs in order to be able to remember that you’ve logged in.

You might also find that you need to disable your firewall and/or antivirus software.

If you continue to have difficulties, we need more information. What browser are you using (including version number)?

Aurick,
Sorted. 'Twas one of my firewall settings.

Hi everyone,

I«m downloading the practice free Zbrush, but don«t know if it works with Mac, go ahead anyway? Do not know if this is the new ZBrush 2 (still not avaliable for Mac) or the older one.

Thanks!

Thanks for the guide.

I just bought Zbrush 2 today, and I’m real excited! This manual should help me out a lot.

Just finished downloading the practical guide, tried to open the PDF file in PS, but it has a restriction code on it. Why is it asking me for a password???

The guide should be opened with the most current version of Acrobat Reader. With other software, the PDF will believe that you wish to edit it rather than read or print it, and requires the password.

Thank you Aurick. Opened it and …WOW! Great effort in putting together this nice guide. Two two thums up :+1: :+1:
