This is for the people that don’t have a “BRUSH”

Hi Petsagouris
Welcome aboard!
Akira motor bike inspiration?
And have happy Zbrushing!
Pilou

I finally got my copy of ZBrush today so I HAD to do something with it even though I only had enough time to install it and play around with it for a few minutes. I thought I would try out the ZSketcher script because it looked great…and it is! It’s like working with real pencils. I’m ashamed my very first ZBrush creation isn’t more awe-inspiring, but oh well!

Really good script!! I was just testing it…

Yo Lanito,
very, very nice drawing and wright on time to illustrate a problem/challenge I’m trying to figure out:
What would the best and/or fastest way be (in Zbrush!) to create a cityscape like in this drawing?
I mean, with the same perspective, point of view, details, etc…?
Anybody any suggestions, tut,…?
Maybe make a new post about this issue?

ola, Fets! off topic but since you asked - i think the fastest way to do cityscapes is creating an alpha with alpha 00 and spraystroke and applying it the alpha century way to a hires 3dplane or terrain tool like i did in the below ones with the exception of the upper right one which was done by placing a sphere and dragrectangling up cubes on it one by one with draw perspective on.

the spraystroke - alphacentury technique doesnt allow for details, but of course you could carefully build up an alpha manually by placing cube above cube in gyro-mode, rotating them into place along streets and suchlikes and do the alpha century afterwards to be able to rotate all of the terrain at once. :ex: rotating cubes often ends up in severe jaggies, try to overcome that by using hires ones, roadmap-stencils, huge canvases, AA, depth cue etc. addendum to spraystroke: i believe its best to reduce flow + maximize placement to avoid “heaps”.

for details: of course its possible to add some on the quickly done alphacentury ones but there are mucho better possibilities: i dont have the time right now but you might want to do a search for some useful tips on creating houses/cities by Pusghetty and WingedOne (who has done a random box script which should work great to build cityscapes). also check out Marcels gallery - he has done a few excellent and detailed cities!

hope this helps to get you started

Juandel my man,
you’re ZZZZuper.
I’m gonna dig in to this as soon as my “Bald Eagle-project” is finished. Many many thx for the effort.
If the deadline, for the project I need it for, promits me to do it by using Z, I will show you the outcome in this or a new post.
Once again: MANY THX!

A cool Tut : " Alias Scketchbook" who can be apply here
Pilou

and exact script, that is almost the same as Alias Sketchbook…wow…

Now my tablet is getting some real use!

Thanks!!!

For who-ever is interested, I posted a wip starting from Zketcher too. You can find it here
I think I made it subconsciously inspired by Davey_1’s contribution. Zketcher rocks!

My Comic-Hero Dark Hunter …
Made with Pencilcase. Sometimes i altered the settings a bit but most of the time i used the presets.

Too Good Le Discot:)
This is outstanding for too many reason to mention! But since you are so displeased with zbrush  , maybe if you record a zscript of the process you take to make such a stunning work , the whole forums praises and thanks might cheer you up?

thanks for sharing your work!

great script ,thank you very much ,works like charm.

Thanks very much Le Discot:)

My god… will Zbrush functionality ever cease? Its constantly expanding through things like this and the other updates… I’m shocked everytime I load up the forum nowadays.

I need a tablet so bad now… when modeling you can fool yourself with a mouse for a while… (I’ve been doing it for what? 2 years now? maybe longer) but when you get some functionality with a pencil built in a mouse just doesn’t cut it.

I predict some day that Zbrush will make its own tablet… hehe then you’d have so much form and functionality built in…
