@skyways128, cheers mate. I’m a bit of a Sci-fi nut myself, but it’s funny how the longer you look at your work as you create it, the more you begin to doubt it…then you hate it…then you accept it…then are happy(ish)…then hate it again. So it’s nice to get a reminder that maybe it’s not so dull after all. And glad you’ve found the info on the thread useful.

@Neil, thanks again Mr. Blevins, your comments mean a lot to me.

Thanks a lot mate. Missed your comment earlier. It’s interesting that you say that as I pretty much recorded those vids as I was learning Zmodeler myself. It was both a way to learn myself, and along with others, in a weird way. Thanks for the comment.

I love it, because i had something similar that i started couldn’t complete, lack of ex-parties, but i hope this will help me in my own completion, thanks man…

And thanks a lot ZBC…for giving me a series of mini-strokes when I saw my project on the TOP ROW!! I seriously can’t believe it. I have always been terrified to post work here as the standard is second to none. This is the first time I’ve posted a project here(that isn’t one of my video tutorial projects) and to see it up there alongside the incredible artists that post here is, quite frankly, unbelievable! I am truly honoured as I never thought I’d see one of my works up there. So a huge thank you ZBC, and to everyone who shared their opinions and took the time to post. ( “bloody hell, let’s hope he never wins a Tony Award…we’ll never get him off the stage…”)

Great thread, really nice to see a piece go from concept to completion. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

LOL, browsing the ZBC gallery certainly has that effect on me! I keep getting cold feet about posting my own projects just looking at the awesome work you guys are producing here.

And yeah, “visual numbness” does eventually set in after a while, and it’s no longer possible to objectively view your own work. Judging from the replies here though, you sir, have nothing to worry about. :+1:

Fantastic thread and congrats on the TOP ROW!

very interesting set of tips and workflows gems. Cheers!

Danny, I’m getting to an age where sometimes I don’t even realise who I am.
Your videos, I love 'em, a breath of fresh air - the new Benny Hill intro a masterstroke.

Brilliant to see your post go top row - much deserved.:+1:

Yours etc,
Boozy

@Sirtaiz , cheers mate. Best of luck with your own project.

@abhominal , thanks man. In full agreement on the completion part. These things become symbiont monsters: with us wherever we go, determining our high points and lows… I think I even remember the facehugger stage…

@SKYWAYS128 , thanks again for the support. :+1:

@Pablander , thank you very much, my friend. I’m flattered you dropped in. and congrats on your own top row. I feel an organic sculpting project coming soon…a wonderful excuse to try your double brushes. They look fantastic.

@Boozy , you’re only as old as the heavy-breasted woman you’re sculpting in ZB! Good old Benny Hill, eh? Now there’s a bloke who enjoyed his work. It’s the most appropriate music I know.

Glad you’re enjoying the vids, mate. I really enjoy making them. I learn as much in the process as some of the 3D beginners who watch them, I imagine. I still find it funny that you’re watching them, though. I used to admire your work way back when 3Dworld Magazine was made from paper…

Excellent thread! Learned alot and also a very neat character was born, great job :+1:

@Takai, cheers mate. Thanks for the comment and glad the thread was useful.
