I created a little tool in Maya that will deform a hair clump along a curve. But Iām actually not happy with the results, so Iāve gone back to the drawing board and Iām trying a different approach. Iāll post an update soonā¦
An update, thoughts on small stars versus big stars? Hair is still work-in-progress, but comments are welcome!
Looking good! I like the big stars myself.
A small update. The hair is still WIP, but Iād love to get feedback from people!
An updateā¦
Nice work!
Looking nice so far, keep it up
No offense but she kind of looks like a transvestite. I say that because her hips are quite narrow, and thereās a lot of upper body bulk as well as leg muscle definition, and high cheekbones. These things arenāt necessarily unfeminine itās just that altogether they give that appearance.
Ha! I agree that she is still too muscular. I figure itās easier to tone down definition than to add it later. Her hips arenāt actually that narrow, but they appear that way from this angle.
Coming along well. Her face kind of looks like a mannequin to me. Not sure how much work youāve done on it yet but it seemed to change in this last update.
I agree, I think her expression is too neutral at the moment. That being said, I think the last render is very unflattering for some reason. Here is another screenshot (but I agree, it needs work):
<meta charset=āutf-8ā>Here is an update, does she still look like a transvestite?
A few tweaksā¦
I like your lean version of Wonder Woman.
I measured and she is very close to 8 heads tall. Thatās a good proportion for a super-heroic woman. Add to that she has the appropriate amount of muscle tone rather than muscle mass.
She looks like an Amazon to me, not a transvestite.
IMHO gender identification is not obvious. Yes there are women who have very wide shoulders, narrow hips and small breasts whose skeletons and musculature might be considered masculine. Also, as time has passed, Iāve seen more and more woman who are well above 6ft tall. However, nature presents a nearly infinite variety of human proportions. Having a frame that does not conform to a stereotypical norm, just makes it clear that variation adds to the uniqueness of individuals, regardless of gender.
Your latest renders have shown marked improvement as the work has progressed.
Cheers!
Iāve made some changes since rendering this turnaround, but Iād still like to get some feedback. Let me know what you think!
Still more to do on the face and hair, but I think Iām getting close on the rest of itā¦
I think her facial features need a bit more attention. Her eyes, for example are too intense looking to me. I think you shouldnāt have her whole iris in view. Just about 3/4 of it would be fine. He jaw line also seems a bit too sharp. And her nostrils and tip of her nose should be a bit wider. Here is a quick sketch to understand better what I mean:
3D print of Wonder Woman from Ownage. I havenāt received the piece yet, but they sent the images below and I think it looks great!
Wow the print came out great mate! Well done!
Great 3D print! Love the detail on the uniform and lasso. Congrats. Iāve been impressed by Ownageās output on other prints. They do good work! Cheers.
