Wolverine WIP

The color version is sa-weeeeet. I especially like the explosive forearms and bicep detailing you have. Very comicbookish.

great work man !!

Brilliant Sculpt dude! Very interesting take on Logan. I would say the claws are pretty far apart, but that comes down to personal preference. Nice work man.

wow, this one has energy… i like it a lot.

good job!

absolutely awsome :+1: :+1: :+1:

great expression, you can really feel the intensity of the action

he certainly means business! I really enjoy that one, and hope you’ll ground him firmly because he’s kinda floating ATM

cool

wow!awesome sculpt. :+1:

wow I love it very aggressive wolverine, thats one of my favorite versions so :+1: :+1: :+1: far

Quite stylish musculature, but way cool!
The painted version is great! Got my 5 'cause this should be top row.

Cheers!

This is so great! Love the style and the texturing and render, 5 stars from me :+1:

Love the painted version. Awesome muscles and love the stored up anger. Perhaps you should print it? Or do a fancy render? Although for that the front foot will have to be lowered at the ball of the foot. For more stability on the rock.

AWESOME !!!
love the painted one…:+1:

Hey guys,
Thanks for all the great feedback. Really Appreciate it.

mokthemagicman: Thanks buddy. Yeah this is sort of my first model that I worked fully as a sculpt in zbrush… I have worked on lowpoly character models in the Tpose and stuff before but this is the first one I worked on with a very lo res base mesh as a sculpt.

sandpiper : Thanks dude…yeah I wanted him to look very comic bookish…I am glad you liked it. Gabriel dell otto was a big inspiration with his paintings of Wolverine.

nightwoodwolf: Thanks dude!!

BoneCandy: Thanks buddy. Yeah still not sure abt the claws… I 'm glad you liked it.

testure: Thanks dude!!

3David: Thanks buddy. I’m glad you liked it.

Intervain: Wow thanks. I’m a big fan of your work. Yeah I noticed him floating just after posting. I have fixed it in the new updates.

robertrageson: Thanks buddy!!

rodion vlasov: Thanks buddy. Your thread has some great stuff as well!!

nellement: Thanks dude. I’m really glad you liked it…

Hurdy Gurdy Man: Thanks buddy…really appreciate it. I’m glad you liked the stylized version.

Phrost: Thanks buddy…I’m glad you liked it. Thanks for the stars as well!!

womball: Thanks buddy. I have fixed the front leg in the new renders. I am not very clever at rendering in zbrush…so the renders are gonna be pretty basic for now. :frowning:

ivar_sn: Thanks buddy. I’m glad you liked it.

A small update. Just fixed the floating issue and adjusted the belt a bit. I made some renders with sculpy.

Great Job dude !!! As already said … its just breathtaking… I love wolverine and you really captured his character ! Great renders !

Hi, this is really cool! Only thing I would check is your anatomy. The legs are too short and the feet are too big, but the upper body looks very good. Look forward to more of your work.

Fantastic Sculpt!
…the only crit is the legs look a little to lumpy…?
overall though looks great.

I have to agree. This is a great sculpt. I dig its energy and this guy’s muscularity, but his arms and especially his legs are too short. His torso might also be too compact as well. But otherwise it’s very strong.

Hey guys,
Thanks for the crits and feedback. Its really great.

bomoh: Thanks dude!! looking forward to seeing the progress of your old Imam as well!!

Paint Guy: thanks dude. As far as the anatomy and the short legs…I have stylized him quite a bit. so he isnt classically proportioned.
I wanted this short really powerful aggressive character…much like a real life wolverine. I have attached a sketch by mike deodato jr which was what I roughly used for proportions.

sadicus: Thanks man…appreciate it. I’l have a look at the lumpiness…thanks for the crit.

EricArtman: Thanks man!! appreciate it.
I have just tried to create a slightly different look…sort of this over exaggerated stature almost like a real wolverine…short powerful and aggressive. Also there is a lot of perspective in the renders…and because of the angle of the shots and the way he is lunging…it seems to make his legs even shorter…

Heres the sketch I was talking about for his proportions
