Nothing works for me either ! Windows 7 and Modo 901 Sp1
Lets wait a little bit longer. I guess they do their best!
You can download the update for GoZ for Modo 901 SP1 - Windows in our Download Center. But first, read the instructions below.
Please, don’t use it if you don’t use Modo 901 SP1. Mac update will be available as soon as possible.
These are the steps:
- Download the installer in our Download Center.
- Quit ZBrush and Modo.
- Execute the installer.
- Start ZBrush.
- Go in ZBrush >> Preferences >> GoZ >> Update path to Modo and reinstall the files (or as an alternative, do a force reinstall if you already installed GoZ files for Modo 901 SP1). When installing you must have a Windows UAC alert.
- Now, try to GoZ from ZBrush to Modo.
Note: eventually, disable your firewall and virus protection while testing.
If it is still not/partially working, check that you have the GoZ file format import/export in Modo. If not, go in this folder: C:\Users\YOUR-USER\AppData\Roaming\Luxology\ and backup/rename the file “MODO901.CFG”. In some scenarios, the preferences of Modo are not updated.
By removing this file, you will remove your custom configuration but at least, you should see if GoZ is working fine in both direction and fixing issues like upside down models.
After I do this:

It work very good for me!
Thx!
Got it working both ways on zbrush and modo!
Update all paths to current installation of Modo 901 sp1 just in case you have multiple installations. And run both as Admin.
Didn’t need to delete my 901 configs. Thanks again.
And run both as Admin.
Please, notice that it is not good to run the applications as an admin, ZBrush first. Then booth applications, ZBrush and Modo shouldn’t be run as an admin.
I got an error dialogue when I did a force installation of the Win version of Goz and that I should run it as admin. And when I did, it worked. I am on a Windows 10 machine. Sorry, just posting what my findings were.
I take it back. It stopped working for me this Goz version. It would have a lot of errors on export like flipping normals and crashing modo completely. Thanks for this again. I will wait till you release a stable version.
Is there any news when the Mac version of GoZ will be out for 901?
Any word on the Mac fix?
I got it working to both directions, but the mesh is upside down in modo. Any tips on how to fix this? It’s really annoying…

I guess we will have to rethink: There will be no working GoZ for Mac-users … :(:td:
No working GoZ for modo 901 users either :)… Well it kind of “works” but it randomly flips meshes around etc so it’s really not worth it…
Can’t get a consistent import export. Going to Modo SOMETIMES flips a tool.
I also get the upside down flipping and backing up modo’s config does not resolve the issue!
I can not believe this has not been properly addressed yet!
This problem was solved, in my opinion this flipping is here at my machine after the last Modo service pack
Has there been any progress on Mac version of the GoZ plugin for Modo? I’m using Modo 902 and the plugin hasn’t worked for me since 801. It’s a pain having to export OBJs and then have to reimport them to Modo or Zbrush.
