Thank you Vancross and FoOD for the comments, I’m glad you like! I don’t know when I’ll get back to the alien, I put him on the back burner for now.
Wanted to try my hand at a look alike which is very difficult and a little frustrating at first, yet I find is a very good way to also learn the anatomy of the head better.
Still some mistakes here and there but what can I say, I’m human. Unlike the many machines I see posing as humans posting insane work here! FoOD…what are you? :wink: I’m a huge fan of your work. Loved your lava dude for the action hero contest, phenomenal stuff!
Some may recognize who it is, some may not. I leave it open to see if I was successful. As I work more on it, it will become more apparent. Comments or critiques welcome!

wesley snipes? looking good! front view looks dead on, but there may be something off with the profile view. Congrats, and cheers!

This sculpt was actually started well over a year ago and was gathering a bit of dust so I thought I’d brush her off and finally try to finish her!
She is the Witchblade from Image comics created by Michael Turner, a great inspiration to me!
For her suit, I basically took the time to mask her entire body how I wanted it to go, following comic book reference, and then I extracted the mask to make the suit. I tried to keep it like the original style from Turner’s drawings yet of course there is quite a bit of my own design elements as well. The suit texture was done quickly but I think it works for now to show in portfolio. More images to come…

Right - good detail bad pose simple as that. If you get the flow better I just know it will make this piece look great…er :smiley:

Keep working into it. Pose is the key.

Yeah its like copy, paste, post. Saw the same comment on numerous others, well whatever. But thank you Scottleroc, I dig your works and really appreciate feedback from you!
Maybe some other angles will help display the pose. I agree she seems a bit stiff especially from this view. I wasn’t going for anything too ambitious so I simply kept it subtle and simple. For that first shot I was just playing around with the suit metal passes so this is defintley not the final beauty shot. Always more to do but I gots to put it aside for now.
Oh and special thanks to Undoz for his awesome materials and inspiring work, you rock man!!

Looking good. I would say the one of her with armor her skin has too much specularity. Keep going with it!

Seriously though, pretty cool work. Agree that the pose is kinda stiff. Maybe taking some liberty and making the legs more curved would help loosen it up?

You have some nice work. Your Tupac is nice and I REALLY like your alien dude too. He seems like he could use more of a neck though when considering the rest of his body but I guess it needs to be squat to support the huge brain.

Your overall anatomical proportions looks good, anatomy is pretty nice also on Sara Pezzini. ^^
Agreed about pose and especially expression. Her head should be leaned forward, and the face might need some more work. I always saw Sara Pezzini as a “sharp faced” woman, having eyebrows with important angles, almond shaped eyes… (not sure if it’s correct english)
I’ll suggest to get some inspiration form Famke Janssen or Jessica Biel.

Another crit on both the policeman and Witchblade, your shoes seems to have no difference between left and righ one. Actually shoes follows the asymetrical shape of the feet, and it looks weird without it.
Anyway, great job so far. Keep it up ! :wink:
