VIDEO - Render Layers and Texturing

Hey wayne long time no see you were looking for the material i think this may be the one you are looking for thanks for the videos here and from kurv helped alot heres the link post #98 http://www.zbrushcentral.com/zbc/showthread.php?t=45640&page=7&pp=15

i kind of miss posting my stuff on your forum i hope you get it back up and running.

This is actually the first time I really understood the use of Render Layers! Thanks so much for making these two vids Wayne, it’s priceless treasure for us learners. Nice audio too, made me laugh a few times (after I learned to understand the accent  ).

I’m very interested in the “Photoshop PSD and word document brief explanation of the layers , their function and settings. (8mb winrar archive)” but the link redirects to your website. Where can I find it?

Again: thanks!! :+1: :+1: :+1:

I’m glad you found them of use, I’ve fixed the link above so it now works. I always try to add a little entertainment in my tutorial videos as theres nothing worse than listening to a monotone voice for ages.

Thats the very one mate thanks, I did a few tweaks to it but should get everyone going. Long time no see Troy, I hope you doing fine. Alas the forum wont be back in the foreseable future, due to a combination of factors (including the fact I simply don’t have the time to moderate and run it anymore), hence why I killed the forum back then.

Wayne…

Thank you.

I’ve just purchased ZBrush 3 from DAZ and while I’m waiting for it to arrive by mail I wanted to bone up a bit on tutorials and info so I’m not totally lost when I load up the program for the first time!! LOL

Thanks so much

Richard ;-)~

Wayne: thanks for the link! Only: I can’t seem to open the doc file. It’s entitled “explenation.docx”. Is it a special file of some sort? If not, can you make it a .doc file or a pdf? I’d love to read it.

Thanks a lot, Wayne.:+1:

Have downloaded the files and will take a look at it soon.

Thanks for sharing.:+1:

I hand’t realised thaty the new version of word made docs that weren’t able to be opened in older versions. (Very strange behaviour by microsoft…) Anyway here’s a version thats compatable with word 97-2003 attached for those having problems opening it.

Wayne…

the videos where a huge help now all i need is to figure out how to create a light sorce like a firein the centre of the scene is that posible?

Ah, now I can open the wordfile. Very clear, most helpful. Thanks for taking the time Wayne!

Wayne , Ive just got the downloads on my HD and will have a read up in a moment . I just wanted to let you know that I got them and will try your methods on my next project.

Your a star !
Cheers
and have a great weekend cal!

Hope they worked fine for you. Weekend was pretty bad actually bu thats a whole other story lol. I notice on my server that the files were downloaded about 800 times…goodjob I have plenty of bandwidth. :stuck_out_tongue:

Wayne…

Wayne these videos where so helpfull, thanks. Im totaly new when it comes to photoshop intergration, and this has shown me some things that iv always wanted to know.

Id very much like to see a slowed down version on just photoshop usage with zbrush as this opens a whole new world to me.

Love the head by the way how long did that take to make? Would be cool to see the making of that too.

Thanks again.

The original idea had all gone according to plan, was to show the ‘making of’ as the 1st part followed by the parts I upped here. But alas I had issues with the zscript on playback so it went the way of the dodo I’m afraid. If memory serves that head took about 1 hour.

I’ll be doing a few free beginners photoshop videos at some point as soon as I have enough free time, to get people new to it ‘up to speed’. Things are a little hectic at the moment, but once things calm down enough to breathe in I’ll try and sort something out.

Wayne…

cool man

These tutorial links won’t work, are they outdated or something?
Thanks

The links on the original post work ok for me.

It is a rar file. Right click on the link and ‘save linked file as’ to download it. You can then uncompress the downloaded file to view the video.
