Thanks Fynn
Yes this is just a base like the muscle layer. I will need to add some fat and skin on top of it.
It is a part of the scene with the guy with the lyre.

A bronze version

Another sketch. The anatomy is not 100% done:

Love these 2, the lion is awesome! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Thanks Santis. Happy you like them.

liked!

Thanks UnrealFCY

Some progress on my Orpheus scene. I roughly posed the animals and did a quick photoshop comp. I have still a lot to do.

I downloaded Keyshot trial and gave it some tests. I like it a lot although it crashes quite often. I wasn’t able to render the whole scene with a skin shader applied to it. It crashed every single time. Maybe its my machine:

I did another test with one of my old models without any crashes. Actually the reason for the crashes of my previous tests was my scene. I had a lot of intersecting objects - maybe Keyshot didn’t like this:

Nice, the animals you sculpt look so realistic.

I saw you mention you’re using Keyshot trial version. I got a couple quick questions regarding Keyshot

  • Are renders done in Keyshot significantly better than ZBrush’s own renderer?
  • Is it difficult to use?

thanks

Hi Godless Dog
and thanks for the comment.
Keyshot is a good renderer and you can get nice results quite quickly. It is really easy to use and quite straightforward.
Zbrush renderer is my opinion is not as accurate and you need to play a bit more if you wan to get realistic results. Still a nice renderer.

Hi guys
It was great to be part of the beta team. This is my creation. It is modeled/sculpted/texture painted in Zbrush and rendered in Keyshot. I may do a short “how to” in future:

congrats man.this looks great.;)

Thanks Diablo !

really great project! the character’s face and overall design puts it squarely in Neverending Story territory. The one thing that bothers me is the wood grain directionality on the arches. maybe the grain should bend with the arch instead of cut across it which seems weak. It’s a really magical piece overall.

Thanks Magbhitu .
You are absolutely right about the arches. Will have to fix them and rerender.
