Three Heads... Zbrush, my new friend.

Very impressive models. Awesome work.

Top notch work. I also have to say that I would be lost with out your dvds. Really looking forward for seeing the new ones when they come out.

Hi all…

Karlfucious… glad the DVDs have helped.

here’s another guy started yesterday and finished this evening… lacking in details, but the overall idea is there I think. Perhaps I should spend more time on him, but I think I’ll move on to another one. Trying to keep the ‘sketch’ thing going with these… My design skills are rusty, so I think I’m better off focusing on things that work as a thumbnail.

Very cool tonque monster!! :+1: Did you render in Z2 as well?

Yong

a good mood with that background! frightening!

Wow. That´s a great character, Alex!

Love the mood and feeling of the piece!

Yes, I agree with Souleat. Very alien and wonderful setting
Keep pushin’ those pixols

alex…are you rendering these inside of zbrush or maya?? have you tried out the script yet…??

Miguel… rendering with Maya’s renderer, so I haven’t needed to use the script yet. Haven’t played with Mental Ray much, but Matt Hartle just finished some MR DVDs that I need to watch.

Lookin great Mr. Alex… just a little lumpy, but awsome all the same.

The toungue creature (most recent) is by far my favorite.

Sean.

Hey Alex,

It’s getting better and better - But I think you shouldn’t render with Mayas Renderer, the displacements seem a little blurry to me. Maybe you’d be better off just letting ZBrush do the rendering stuff.

Hey Alex, you are getting very good…very fast! But then again you already have a VERY strong background to pull from.

After reading this post and seeing what you’ve come up with in a matter of hours I think I am going to have to play with Z-Brush a little more.

Keep up the great work…I too can’t wait to see something from Carlos Huerta and Neville Page. I just finished watching Neville’s first two DVDs about the Wildebeast and WOW! I’m thinking about taking one of his classes in the future.

My passion is still with effects, but you have some really inspiring work here.

Thanks Mike… Neville unfortunately got really busy with work and hasn’t been able to jump on Zbrush yet, but hopefully soon. I gave him a copy of Meat’s DVD to jump start him.

So I decided to take one of my heads a little further… but figured I’d start a new thread for it:

Alex,
Glad to see you jump aboard so quickly and having fun so soon!

I guess I just assumed you were familiar with Zbrush allready, but I see that your off to a great start!

Congrats, and I will be keeping an eye out for more of your work and will watch your progress. Which at this rate won’t take you long

Best wishes,
~Brian Wade

pssst… Mr Monster. This thread is two years+ old.

Abbath, you can find DVD’s here http://www.thegnomonworkshop.com/ Also, the author of this thread is pretty well known for his talent. I’m sure he also has a lot of practice and experience too. No doubt you could get there too with hard work. :+1:
