Thoughts on iPad size for zbrush?

Hi

Ive decided to take the leap and get myself an iPad for drawing and some d modelling, after years or just using a Wacom.

I got myself a 13inch iPad after hearing lots of people say it was best. I can see how this is definitely the case if being used on a desk, but after using it for a bit on my lap, im wondering if I should opt for the smaller model? I think I’ll be using it more on a sofa rather than at my desk (at least that was my hope).

Does anybody have any thoughts on this? Is using zbrush on a smaller iPad doable? Would love to hear peoples experiences

thanks

I opted for the larger screen as well. I suggest getting a case that supports your iPad if you’re sitting or on the couch (if you haven’t purchased one yet). The smaller size is more portable, but I feel like the UI and model would look much smaller.

Hi Nick,

I bought myself an IPad mini because it was easy to keep it in my jacket. It is more a little notebook. Easy on the way and not very notable.

Then I noticed that I loved the mini more than my 13 inch iPad. So when the nano structure came out, I decided to buy a 11 inch iPad, because it was cheaper than a 13 inch.

My advice: don’t buy an 11 inch instead of 13 inch, because you won’t notice much difference, only that you have less drawing space.

Buy an IPad mini. It is still my favorite IPad and Zbrush on the IPad works well on it. It’s also much cheaper.
