Totally love your solider model. A+ details and overall appeal is great, only thing I really don’t like is his mask. I think its the clear view of his face or the overall shape of it. Seems more like a scuba mask, but I love the character overall! Nice work.

Nyx702 - thanks! I’ve had a few people asking about the tweed texture, so I might make a tutorial image thing at some point. I think it’s nothing out of the ordinary though. I overlayed a seamless tweed texture and a texture from a peacoat with a base color and AO and cavity maps. Made sure the pattern went in the right direction and then hand painted a few highlights on the folds.

danpants - Thanks! Different strokes I guess, I tend to like gas masks like that. Originally I was actually planning on having more of the face visible.

fantom_iz - Thanks! I might go back and play with more dirt, though the idea was that this was Ned’s clothes indoors (hence why he doesn’t have his sword hanging from his hip) and since he is a lord, they would be reasonably clean.
