very nice sculpt

Great going. From first look at the reference I see you made his lower jaw too pronounced. I think it would immediately gain you likeness points fixing it :+1:

i like this model.
but i thing the face expression looks to me a littly bit to suffering, the original looks more coolness in face expression - you know i mean?

cheers

Gr8…i like ur Clean details…:):+1:

Capital_G - thanks!

AGHAVAN - thanks!

cherub_rock - thanks for the crit. i went back and looked at it, it perhaps should be slightly rounder, but i don’t think the ref i posted really shows his jaw all too well. i’ve attatched a reference photo that is more front on and shows the shape of his jaw a bit more. anyway, i’m workign on the centaur now, when i go back to Johannes i’ll try to round it out a bit.

rodsanchez - thanks! this is more of the emotion i am going for. i think it better reflects the characters emotional themes of the film. the film sort of centers around revenge, guilt, loss, loneliness and the like. the title “Revanche” means Revenge. i was trying to represent the big two emotions of his character; loss(suffering) and revenge(represented by the gun). so i know what you mean, but this is what i was going for.

sculptor.zb - thank you!

nice head and centaur man

thank you very much!

unfortunately i don’t have any work to post, but out of boredom and being unable to work i thought i’d at least share a little bit of nice news. i’m artist of the month this month at Infinitee-Designs

a little bit of not nice news. i recently had two intense eye surgeries(scleral buckle and vitrectomy, two months apart([video showing both](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YftCbXIw11k))) which made my eye look pretty gnarly for a bit. it actually made me want to model and texture a version of it. just think eye stitches anyway, pretty pointless post, but thanks to anyone who reads it, i'm just bored out of my mind(i have to keep my head facing down for 3 weeks, i'm in week 3) edit: i actually forgot i hadn't posted this. sort of a fast little study i did awhile ago, didn't get to finish it. originally was going to make a tutorial, but thinking i'll just make a new one. just fiddling with the new rendering since i just now installed zb4. nothing special ![busttest.jpg|527x700](upload://xCwLw2SkSwgqUSTfySh8Tnc3PSq.jpeg)

Hope you get well soon so we can enjoy some great new sculpts!

thanks! i see the doc tomorrow, hopefully he says i don’t have to lay on my face all day anymore. i’ve been at it for 3 weeks.

Hopefully, you’ll be up and running/sculpting soon again  .

hopefully when i see the doc today they’ll let me start keeping my head up straight and i can pick this monitor up from the floor. my mind is being bored out of me.

well i got the ok from the doc to sit up now. my right eye is still sort of useless since the bubble is still there for almost another month.

anyway i started to work on the centaurs equipment. taking a break before i finish the body. i’m thinking about putting a sword in there somewhere, but that’ll probably be it. i have mixed feelings. feel free to critique it all you want, make suggestions, tell me you hate it, whatever. cheers

To bad about the eye
The centaur is looking very good:+1:
And congratz on being the artist of the month, the sculpture is looking great

The centaur is really amazing! Beautifully sculpted. Reminds me of the sculptures I saw when I was touring Rome. Very nice!
Keep it up and I hope you feel better soon.

The length of the left hand (bow) seems shorter. Ears need some more love.
Overall great sculpture here. Keep it this way. :+1:
BTW increase the value of BPR shadows strength at ~0.7, resolution at ~4000.
