Well here is another work for which I used Zbrush for sculpting the character… rendered in Cycles. this still has issues, but I guess I’m calling it done. enjoy!
Beautiful!!
Great job on this! I really like it all but the texturing stands out for me as being very good. I also like the theme.
thanks guys I’m glad you like it.
Hi all, here is a quick sketch I did yesterday. Rugby is currently the biggest topic here in South Africa, so meh.
Here is a WIP image that I’m busy with in my spare time… Here is testing hair with black & white renders. obviously right now its based on the amazing close-up portraits by David Moratilla, but I’ll be adding my own touch to the final renders. Enjoy!

Hi guys and gals,
I’ve been designing a fantasy costume and character… most of the basemeshes are modeled in Blender, and detailing will be done in Zbrush… (wear, stitches, patters, etc) Enjoy!
sculpting in more details… especially around the legs and waist. also added some leather textures to some of the belts, and stitching here and there… still lots of stitches to add all over. (mostly leather armor)
I blocked in a basic hairstyle, to see how it would look. still not decided, but I might go with this or a variation of this.
Hi! Great updates. I am surprised no one replied yet. Seeing lots of works without any comments might be devastating.
I like her clothes design - looks complex, functional and not overly sexualized (that’s my personal sin to make mindless outfits ).
Though when speaking about her face there are some issues. When looking from a side, it appears that her jaw line is too straight, going basically from chin to the ear without no evidence of the angle of the jaw. Also the entire lower half of the face from nose to chin appears shifted slightly forward. Because of that, the contours at junction of head and neck look odd. As if she was protruding lower jaw. And finally I suggest to soften the bottom-back part of her cranium (right at superior nuchal line where trapezius connects to the head). Right now it juts out too much and doesn’t look feminine but rather blocky.
Keep it up and hope that helps.
Thanks man glad you like the costume. yeah I should probably work on the face more… it’s also kind of challenging to find a good balance between stylized and realism. lol.
anyway, thanks for the crits, I’ll keep hammering it
more WIPs… I worked on the head, and she also needs a horse(early block out, still issues with that):
