Cool. Thanks for shaing the videos.
Having multiple textures for objects is going to be very useful.
Mesh Extraction appears to be like a souped-up more friendly version of difference meshes.
Looking forward to the new release.

hehe- yeh, but delete ‘lazy’ --consider ‘lost’
I’m still puttering around 14 months after planning a character turnabout for 3D to pitch to the boss… :o
The $39. Darwin uploader looks like something Pixologic.com could exceed with a web-based ZSpheres RDE that behaves like PhotoModeler.
Once ZB’s price must go beyond a certain point, what’s the fall-off for reaching The New Digital Artist RyanK says they’re after? Let newbies and fence-sitter pros experience ZB with a minimm of frustration, wind up with something more useful than a DAZ object, and capture their attention for wider/deeper ZB magic.
This is an income stream and good public relations both. I think Darwin recognizes a niche when it exists…
=dp
The base quality of darwin Models are not the immpressive but I agree their basic distribution modle is interesting.
Silo 2 Announced and it looks awesome. With UVWrapping LSCM style
Millions of polygon brush scultping and full_fledge modeling capabilties.
So, did anyone get to see the 3d Plasma Dots Display or the Powder Screen?
I guess I ruined this thread.
I’ll try and keep it alive. Do you have any links I can check out? I’m always up for cool tech stuff.
Here’s a link to an article about the Powder Screen:

And here’s a link to an article about the 3d plasma display:

Did anyone see any other cool new display technologies while you were there?
That’s some pretty wild stuff!
I forsee the day when we’ll be able to model objects by directly manipulating them by hand thereby doing away with the need for tools, at least to some extent.
Imagine being able to grasp a surface or vertice by hand and to move it around or being able to mold your object like modeling clay like we do in Zbrush except directly by hand.
Or even being able to use an actual paint brush ( like a pen tablet ) to paint directly on the 3D object itself in full 3D view.
Today’s fantasy is tomorrow’s reality.
Thanks for the links.
Did Dick Van Dyke show up to this one?
