The human anatomy and 11 systems of the body

Sorry… I have tears in my eyes… thanks for making my day!!!
Hahahahaha
Rainer

I’m not sure, but I think the eye sockets look large a bit to me
anyway, it looks pretty cool

Nice work! Good luck making the rest!!

Oh boy! Can’t wait to see this Zsphere extravaganza!

Holy cow!!! What an awesome project!!! Congrats man! :+1: :+1:

Arran, these are beautiful renders! Great job. I updated the blog post with them. May google shine on you.

Ryan

What a nice guy Ryan is.

Thanks, for keeping tabs on this project, and thanks Ryan for updating the blog post :-).
I called up my old digestive system and am reworking it, hopefully making improvements, making some new materials and getting them to fit the skeleton. Here is the more or less completed large intestine.

I had a gut feeling you would do this next.

sick! but yet so beautiful! ha the small intestine is going to be a bitch!

am i wrong in saying that this is unprecedented? Arran, I have never seen such a long term project with attention to accurate sculpting like this. It’s one thing to try to sculpt the human form…it’s quite another to do it from the inside out, and to do it well. I’m no anatomy expert, but from the incredible skeleton sculpting i’ve seen, i have faith that you’re doing your homework.

man, i don’t envy you when you get to the muscles! the guts will definitely be fun.

keep going, i love this post!!!

This thread is epic, and you are a god.

That is all I can say, you have inspired me

I guess that begs the question if Arran can Zbrush a Taco so large that even he cannot eat it?

I agree. This deserves a page out of art history.

Hot damn. I can’t believe you finished sculpting and texturing every bone in the human body o_o Unreal! And it turned out beautifully =D You should be proud, it’s an amazing piece of art. :+1:

Well i thought i would share the method i am using at the moment to ensure i keep the organs of the torso within the skeletal boundaries. I used a Sphere and pulled in about using move and standard brush to get more or less a cast of the cavity that is available. I actually found the FLIP buuton in the display properties amazingly usefull for this and it will probably be very usefull for some final imagery too. thanks for your interest.

Clever idea! interesting that the pole of the sphere seems to be about where the belly button is.

anyhow, good idea!

This thread just keeps on giving. It is a delight to watch your evolving process. :+1:

This was a very clever idea! Sometime, the obvious solution to a problem escapes me… (sigh)! Its refreshing to see your thought process on this particular problem! :+1:

regrets! i could never see this thread and i just came across it.
it was another experience reading and seeing the whole thread from your starting statement upto this point.
i have seen 3D skeletons made in 3d applications already for anatomical/physiological studies but i have enver seen some one planning to go this far… 11 systems. thats more like going down the rabbit hole… as far as someone can go. i can wish you best of luck.
you might have collected a great reference liberary so far. i would request you to share some rare pieces of references with us.
here is a link you might have seen already, if not then go ahead. these are Dissection Videos for the whole human body with audio, by Medical people.

One of the final outputs for the anatomy is an image that supports a quote. This is just a quick test for a tutorial i have later on this morning. The pose will be more dramatic and also have muscles/skin overlays, as well as more thoracic organs. The character will be holding a seedling instead of a heart, but i just used that to get a feel for what was going on. The materials used are nothing special, so will make some nice organ ones later.

taemee: Thanks loads for that link as it helped with a lot of things. I have a medical book on its way to me containing autopsy images and slice through, accompanied by overlay sketches, this will to be to add to my collection of books which i will list later. I also look at lots of medical illustration on line so can post the links to much of that too. Thanks again.
