The Black Pearl

Hi,
I posted these before but I just learned this weekend how to post better quality pictures. I bought PS CS3, got a book how to use it, and someone at work is showing me the tricks (ty Nobu!). (I would have just edited the old post but apparently when it is too old you aren’t given the option).

Hope you like these.

Here is a deatheater from Harry Potter.

Here are a few fused skulls.

Here is the boy from The Grudge movie. I used one of the human male meshes from the Pixologic website to make him. And I used a radial sphere for the hair.

Great job! I like the kid! I was thinking that I’ve never seen a children scumpted in zbrush, but maybee I didn’t see all the zbrush works… At least not yet!   But he’s looking really great!

a real feat on the cloth there man! i especially love the head piece! the cloth is extremely convincing!

Fantastic Works cherreborne!!! I really like yours style! :+1: :sunglasses:

Man I am impressed as hell by the level of detail here and the fact that you got the texture grain of the cloth in its robes to flow so well.
Great Stuff.
The funny thing for me is the same thing that makes me say WOW THATS AWESOME is the same thing I find a bit distracting.
All that detail is very noisey and a bit overwhelming for me.
Amazing effort the poses are top notch as well
Thanks for sharing

Cheers
Grimbro

Nice! Both, the pirate and the monkey are exelent!

it’s amazing work.

:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Here is Doomsday. I am still trying to figure out PS and get the best resolutions up. I don’t see any jagged edges with these pics. Hope
you don’t mind me reposting with my new user name. (not cherreborne
anymore)

Here is Spiderman, Stephano Dubay made the base mesh and did alot of UV mapping and all the web alphas. I did the anatomical work, pose, and lightpost. All of my projects are for 3D printing, so we were experimenting on depth of surface details and muscle definition.

wow! How Do you get the alpha so uniform? Is there a way to slap the alpha on a flattened uv channel? great work!:+1:

amazing again!

So this is the from The Grudge, but you don’t get to see the hair I didn’t like it

Here is a pair of monster teeth I was playing around with a long time ago  I’ll put it in a monster face on a monster body one day.

Ghost rider. About the alphas and UV’s, you know more than I, I’d bet ya. That’s where Stephano came in. Thanks though. Thanks Alex your stuff rocks, sometimes I use a material like yours. Its great, looks like chavant. Sometime I almost post with it, but I feel like its your signature color, hah.

Amazing work. Thank for sharing. :+1:

Fantastic work on the Hellboy Prince. Really clean.

Always having problems with getting the geometry right on the hair, mind sharing the procedure?

TD

WOW… dude… i gotta say… your work is INSANE! You inspire me to wanna get on Zbrush and do some GREAT stuff!! You have the style of sculpting that I’m trying to accomplish on this program. I hope to get as good as you one day. KEEP IT UP!!! :+1: :+1:

Trapdoor - the clean flat hair, I did like this:

I got a basic flow starting from a part line, and falling down the sides of the head, then splitting at the shoulders. Then using the lazy mouse striating the hair. then throw in some layers.ZBrush Document.jpg

This is the first time I did this type of hair (The Grudge), the prince is better.
Also forgive the thickness, but we have to keep things thick for a 3D printer.

cool that you did the grudge lady… hope it doesn’t rattle you at all, but I actually thought The Grudge was a joke compared to the original Ju-On, which had the most lasting horror effect on me of any horror movie I’ve ever seen… I think I was imagining that lady creeping down the stairs in my house for over a year

I really enjoy all your work, thanks for showing us
