Teddy Bear

Thanks, everyone. My friend hasn’t seen it yet, but I dare say she will be happy.

Northstarr, your bear is gonna be great. I think what you may have missed is the baking after using the fiber brush. If you don’t bake it, the smudge tool just kind of scrapes through the pixols, but baking allows you to actually smear them. I had the brush too large when I did the script for the fiber brush part. Keep it kind of small, so the hair doesn’t get extremely long. You are mainly trying to get the underlying growth pattern with the fiber brush. Then, turn off your eyeball/nose layer so that the baking doesn’t mess it up. If you don’t already know it, you can do this by clicking on the orange triangle in the corner of the layer preview. It should turn gray. Then, when you go back to the fuzzy bear, he will have no eyes. Bake the layer, then using the dots alpha and the smudge tool, you can “comb” the fur. Use a larger brush size than you did with the fiber brush, and turn Z intensity all the way up. When you are all done, use the shanding enhancer brush to add highlights and lowlights. This should work well for you. Can’t wait to see how you do!

Nice job Slosh. :+1: :+1: :+1:

Slosh! I believe I have got it!!
The colouring was a little lopsided on the muzzle but I got the fur and that’s what I was after. Thank you so much!! Now I am going to try making other stuffed animals.
You are so wonderful for sharing and taking the time to help us novices out!
