Awesome works Tomas,
waiting for finished pix of these wonderful stuff,
Just have some questions,
have you ever tried the OBJ import/Export plugin for Rhino/Matrix for working with Zbrush files in Rhino/Matrix ?
Have you ever tried Tsplines or TsElements for Import/Export zbrush files into Rhino/Matrix or Solidworks?
i just tried to convert Zbrush mesh into Nurbs surface with Tspline but i couldnt, the Tspline command has crashed everytime!
do you still exchange your files with Zbrush/Modo ?
do you get STL files with Modo?
Thanks Tomas,
Once again great work! T.S. Looking forward to seeing a new stream of work from you.
Albert

akiefer - Thank you and there is a lot more to show just have to get everything running smoothly after my move.
saeedm - 1. I take all my models into matrix as objs I have a Revo mill so that where I build my tooling paths. you have to decimate things to well below 300,000 polys for the program to deal with them. I use the stl exporter all the time for prepping files to grow. ever had an issue with either except keeping an constant scale between them. but that’s no stress i just scale them in matrix.
I just installed tsplines so I’m looking forward to playing with it, my friend travis says you can cleanly export them into Zbrush but I honestly haven’t even made a cube with it yet. I’ll have to report back on that one.
Yes I use modo for all my block up. GoZ is invaluable for doing variations on a theme quickly. I have base ring sizes and gem sizes so what i bring into zbrush is at least to relative scale. Tsplines is a plug in version of modo that will hopefully open matrix up to more organic modeling but i cant give modo up because of the GoZ. don’t get me wrong i think tsplines is a fantastic addition to matrix and will advance what designers can do with it. but almost everything I do is in Zbrush so it’s connection with Zbrush is invaluable to my work-flow.
no I use Zbrush to do my first round then run them through magic
hope that helps

some noh masks I’m going to make lanyard beads out of… then re-purpose for rings
I really appreciate it Tomas,
your stuffs and answers are always helpful,
Cheers…
anything I can do to help I try…
now does any one have an answer to why my pics are not attaching to the posts?
tsw
post test…
and new parts
Superb!
thank you my friend…
Beautiful new ones
.
Crazy, cool, pretty.
Your work is just fantastic! Welcome to Seattle, btw. I hope you don’t mind our rainy weather (at least today and tomorrow are supposed to be nice, though)!
I notice a few these newer models have locations for gemstones. Do you set the stones yourself? I’d love to hear more about the gemsetting process. Like, what method do you prefer. Are they all claw settings?
Jerick & Kaleden thank you very much…
I now work at a store “green lake jewelery” we have many many talented setters so I’m sure i can find any answers you have. just yell

ps i love the weather so far
Hi Tomas,
have you ever made a jewel with Zsphere? do you start making a ring in Zbrush with a Ring3d or a Sphere 3D and working with brushes or with ZSphere, or you make a simple base ring in Modo or Rhino and do brushing on ZB?
thanks again T,
Cheers.
only very experimentally, I almost always start in modo sculpt in zbrush and scale and produce tooling paths in matrix (rhino) starting in modo guaranties my parts will be in relative scale coming out of zbrush
Awesome stuff. How do you feel when you make print of those?
it’s always gratifying to hold something you create. even better when it’s in platinum with tonally gradated sapphires.
jewelry has become a very fun medium to work in.
T.S.Wittelsbach, your work is sick. I love every bit of it!!
