Sweetheart

Next in line!
Roxy

No, Mom it wasn’t me who stole they guys lunch, and ate on the seat of the machine!
Roxy is a pit, but with that I have to add they are “not” the vicious dogs they are made out to be … Its the owners and how they are brought up.
How she came about is when she was a few weeks old some kids brought her in the backyard of an empty house. The kids had left her there on 3 inch rope with a 25lb weight on it in the pouring rain.
She is one of our shop dogs but she comes home the most. her first 3 months with us she never left my side :).
She helps to teach everyone there is no jumping on Mom, even if she has to sit on them to do it lol, She climes on things like a cat, she jumps 6 feet with ease, she can scale up anything as if she was walking down hill. If Roxy wants it she will find a way to get lol. We call her our little tom boy. She is wonderful with my kids :), A mother to all the rest under her. “If” the need arises she is as tuff as they come!

Jo-Jo
Mom, it wasnt me! Susanne jumped in the mud just as i was about to walk around it I swear!

Jo-Jo is a pure breed Spits also known as an American Eskimo.
He is a 35lb spitfire! He ran in front of my husbands service truck, my husband jammed on the breaks jumped out and looked under the truck. There he saw a pur white ball of fur and the scent of perfume. His nose 1/2 an inch away from the wheel while a chewed up leash was stuck under the other wheel. 2 hours my husband walked around trying to find his owner 3 months of flyers posted around the area and the area’s around where it happened. No one answered. My husband insisted we weren’t keeping him … just like he did with all the others lol. We decided to bring him to the vet get him neutered, shots and find him a home. This entire time my husband refused to give him a name lol. As the vet said he is already fixed, and gave him a $450.00 bill for cleaning and shots and making sure he was all OK, hubby finally called him by the name the rest of us called him  Jo-Jo
He stayed
He is a herding dog, whenever we need to move a machine we ask Jo-Jo to pick a truck and he runs and jumps in! That’s where he stays until its all done lol. You ever see a 35lb dog try and keep an excavator from straying??? He loves playing with the others but loves his time in he trucks alone :).

What a wonerful 4-legged family smiles!

This is Raggs who has been with us since 1990. He is geting on in age, but still quite active.

OK here we go again
Sisters, Sugar and Diesel :).
They both came about the same way :(.
Im not the most perfect person in the world, but I do “try” and be responsible. I have all my babies neutered or sprayed, fenced in, with regular visits to the vet. We have a shop next to us where unfortunately they do not do the same. There mother a Doberman came from there shop. She had 8 pups all but one died within 3 weeks.
To tell the story of how they both came about would be a short book! So I will try and make it simple
Sugars father was a stray we called rusty that lived in the area for years, he was there before we relocated to the area 5 years ago. The people who own sugars Mom have another dog who tried to destroy her. My husband went to check on her, saw how she was, then went ballistic screaming at them, picked her up and left with her. We brought her to the vet she had 3 surgery’s, one procedure they never performed on a pup before. We decided it would be best if we nurse her back to health and find a good home for her when we know all was well. We had 3 people lined up. Then it happened :(. We tried for years to get her father Rusty to trust us so we could at least get him to a vet, with no luck. Then one night someone shot him :(. After that I told my husband we are keeping her. For ten minutes we argued, then I gave that glare that all wives give  and stated… We have over 6 month to nurse her, that means we have over 6 months to argue this issue :). He never brought it up again

Sugar & Diesel

Diesel is from the same mother, different stray. This time she had 5 pups, 4 that survived. We found homes for three of them. The owners weren’t happy, but they also know we were looking out for what was best for the pups. There was one pup my husband tried especially hard to find a home for… But they kept saying no, they had someone for it. They ended up giving it away to a man that just dropped her back in the yard 4 days later :(. Her mother no longer wanted her & chased her away. The owners couldn’t care less. When my husband pulled up to the shop there she was shaking in front of our gates with our others barking on the other side.

Fate once again
6 down 2 to go… Dont worry its almost over! lol

The Last ones !! lol
Just because they are the low dogs on the totem pole doesn’t mean there loved any less
Susanne

Susanne, was a stray that roamed the area for at least a year. Then one day
something went off in this girls mind, for 3 days she sat outside our gates barking, and barking, and barking. We tried to chase her away, but she wasn’t leaving. She was there before we got in, and was there when we left !
Did I mention her Barking?
After 3 days of this, trying to work made us all pretty crazy. Well, my husband couldn’t take it anymore! I cant say what came out of his mouth ;x. But in a rage he threw open the gates and she ran in!! We had an extra tail playing in our yard ! With silence for the 1st time in 3 days! My husband now rambling to me his usual speech about how she wont be staying, bla bla bla … He tried to get her out of the gates at the end of the day, she decided differently. I have to say it was a VERY comical chase ROFL She tired him out, and she won!

Last but not least Blue

Blue is CO-owned by my brother in-law and myself. My bother in law has her at night I have her at work by day :). The reason for this is because of the 2 pups in the picture below. My brother-in-laws boy Max the husky, and my girl Sheba part husky and shepherd. We lived close so they were always together. Both are gone for 5 years now ;(.
Then a year and half ago a guy came by to show us his new pup. He also knew Sheba & Max when they were alive. Well, you could have knocked us over with a feather !! There in front of us was Max & Sheba in 1 dog! They reincarnated into Blue !!! LOL Blue has Max’s gorgeous blue eyes, with the body of Sheba! After her new dad saw our reactions to her he offered her to us lol… Now how can you say “No” to that?? LOL
Sheba & Max

Nooooooo, they weren’t fighting! They were playing

Wow Smiles…It sure has been a pleasure meeting your family of the canine variety.
You must have shares in a dog food company!!!
They are all so beautiful…That’s alot of love!!!

Thanks Belleski :),
Im Glad you enjoyed them
I figured after my last post everyone would be saying “not again!”
What’s so funny about having them all is, my husband never had any pets growing up. When we first married we truly only had 1 topic that would ALWAYS turn into an argument. He would say “we are NOT GETTING A DOG” I would say “OH, Yes, We are”
I decided in “my” head, this is not worth arguing about! I settled the argument in my own mind
I stopped bringing up the conversation all together. He noticed no arguments, and asked me "What are you up to? We haven’t fought over a dog in a few months? I don’t want you coming home with something and saying its ours! " I told him this is not worth arguing about! "Were a home that needs a dog, and God is going to send us a dog that needs a home! " End of story!
The “VERY " next morning we received a call from my cousin, telling us she had a puppy she couldn’t keep, and wanted to know if we could take her. My husband Terrified of what I would bring home, said Yes :). It was Sheba
If you noticed after that, he brought them “ALL” home ROFL. He brings them home, I do all the rest  Each one he always insisted " We are not keeping them”, and refuses to call them by there name until its to late LOL
Except Diesel the newest one, he just looked at me like Hun, it was fate. All I could do was laugh and say “so ,what are we “naming” her?” LOL

Hi Smiles. Just based on the pictures, I think I would go for Sugar in a big way.
I had a whippit when I was seven years old and I fell in love. That was the last time I had a
dog. Except for the foxes that I met and became friends with that lived in the cemetary across the street from me. I loved them so much, fed them grilled chicken and chicken livers and doggy treats. They responded to their names(Lisza…the female. Felix…the male). They followed me everywhere and we were very happy. Here are some pictures for you. They have since died and I miss them very much.
Lizsa…She has the most beautiful eyes.

Felix…A very loving soul.

Lizsa…trotting along.

Lizsa at rest.

Belleski,
They are gorgeous! Im sure they kept you very happy growing up :). It looks like they kicked the life into that cemetery! Felix caught my heart :). He has that look where he is about to get into mischief!
I loved seeing everyone’s Babies  DeeVee, Raggs doesn’t look so up there in years, he has a long way to go :).

This was Barkley,
Alias:

The Dark Lord

Sweet Jimmy Brown (Thur. nights only)

Mr. Lee-lo

Mr. Spears

The most gentle dog I’ve ever known.

He lived to a ripe old age, but decided to shed his mortal hairy coil last month. And Damn, I sure do miss him.

Sorry for your loss Ken. I know how it is when you loose a 4-legged family member.

Im so sorry, I know it isnt easy, he looks so precious.

I never could get why some people don’t think the death of a beloved animal is heartwrenching. My own sweet dog, Radar, died last year 2 days before my birthday, in my arms. I haven’t cried like that in years. I’m sorry for your loss, Ron, I know it is hard.

That is a real shame about your beloved Ken.
Pets are such good friends and conduits for unconditional love that when one passes, it is truly hard to bear. :frowning:

Thank you for the condolences.

I don’t want to drag the subject down, so continue with the celebration of our liitle friends!

I just wanted to correct something. Ron Harris started the post, and I guess I had that on my mind when I made my last comment. Ken, the sentiment was meant for you. I’m really sorry.
