I always prefer Arnold render with displacement and normal maps.
Used high intensity key lights and little tweaks to the GI.
A major part did in Composition part. AE or PS I used with al passes like Beauty/Depth/AO/RGB/Shadow/Spec…etc.

I am also learning…
I am not using the same method for all sculpts. As per reference I will take decision.
My main concern is always to sculpt proper as I want. Render output is secondary matter.
Clay tubes/Polish/Slice/standard …are my favrt brushes.Some times I make alpha for sculpt.
