Thanks for this info, when I’ve done stuff for printing, it’s always been run throughout decimation master, this looks like it hasn’t been, but doesn’t look very high poly either (in your images on how to break up). Where in your process do you do the cutting up?
It’s not decimated yet. I’m not going to to that. Cutting is my final step of whole process.

It depends on the machine your model is being printed on. Check with the vendor. They’ll give you the specifications. If they accept a.ztl, they will handle the necessary prep including decimation.

Fantastic model and render! I’m new to 3D modeling, but I really like what you’ve done. I was looking for a good reference for a female face and hair, and when I showed this to my professor, he showed it to the class and talked about ways to model and render hair. Nice job! 
How exactly did you model your hair? I’m haing a really tough time trying to model mine, and I really like the approach you took. The hair I’ve made so far looks pretty terrible, so I’m looking for any advice I can get.
