A wonderful result Duncan
A lot of work of hard work and care - uving , fiddly textures etc.
You deserve a brass band and a ticker-tape parade I say.
The final render, Blender Cycles ?
This is so good!
Thanks !
M.
haha thanks :D.
@ boozy floozie : HAHA Thanks. You are too kind. Yeah Blender cycles, with a touch of comp.
wicked work, Duncan! Always love seeing the energy evolve in your work
Thanks Funky
Oh WOW! Looks like a 3D movie should be made, using this style (art, lighting, rendering, everything). Amazing!
hahah thanks Dragon
This was supposed to be a quick head study
There is a story behind this image… it is a bit rubbish but sometimes I find a story can help push me when I start to flounder.
This is the ferryman (Charon) who carries newly departed souls accross the river Styx to the land of the dead. Typically the price for passage is a coin.
AMARA was his wife while he was alive and apon her death Charon refused to carry her to the afterlife where he knew he would never see her again. He granted her a second life just so he could see her again at her next death. Life after life again and again he refused her passage in the knowledge that at the end of each life they would be reunited … if only for a short time.
The End.
I am not sure if any of that comes through in the image but it gave me some direction.
From a head study to a Pre Raphaelite 'Death And The Maiden '.
Exquisite work Duncan.small_orange_diamond
