Stargate (1994) - Bastet guard wip (nudity)

Small update on her hand and the helmet’s upper part. I’m not entirely sure about the new helmet details…
We will see if I change it tomorrow.

Wowsers, the detail on that hemet is getting more and more beautiful! Very intricate work! The female model is coming along very nicely as well! The hands are very nicely executed. I like where this model is going, cant wait to see more!

Her toes are bugging me, but cant complain much about the rest. Could be stuff that my unexperiences I dont catch but. Texturing is good too.

EDIT: Took alook at page one, and discovered it was that stargate thread I forgot to take alook inside

Helmet is looking great

I always forgets that it’s wise to look at the previous page.

Thanks for the feedback guys!

Yep, the feet are at 50% so don’t look at her as a ‘finished body’.

Slowly but getting closer.

looks awesome m8. well done

Feet are finished. (For now  )
Toes pointing forward for easier and cleaner normal map projection.

as usually,you did excellent work…

I’ve built the realtime model of the body which can be seen on this Vray render (eyes and teeth are coming…). Texture is just the initial polypainted color map (so far).
I’ll show her from more angles later on.

looking great, the hands could be scaled up some, they’re looking very tiny at the moment.

Great helmet design. I love all those original Stargate movie designs, yours looks like it would fit right in.

Good morning!

seriks: It’s because of the perspective and lighting. Check it on the Zbrush model. Measure your hand to your face…your middle fingertip will point at your ‘third eye’. I think her hand does the same if we measure it to her face…no?

krawlin: Thanks! A lot of details are still on their way to make that helmet really sing.

Detailing her helmet. Lower part’s progress is at 50% now.

Really nice helmet! How did you do the really intricate details on the helmet, Masking? Or shadowbox+Matchmaker? Would like to hear more about your workflow

this is a beautiful sculpt. Nice work. Great to see your process

I really like this design. The details on the helmet are really nice too.
excellent work so far ! I’m looking forward to seeing more

I ditto everything!

She’s looking very nice so far Robert.

beautiful work tho personally i think some sharper lines would help the design, sharper edhes on eahrs and some transitions , it would match this hjeadpiece to hthe original movies helms of anubis and horus they had the smooth transitions that were perfectly contrasted with some good ol shaprpness

but evne like this it is a gorgeous piece

Thanks guys!

[color=Wheat]T0rch: Most of the details are sculpted by hand using standard brush with lazymouse. There is some masking and inflate deformation. And my latest favourite is the following method you can do in Z4: I rotate the model into best view for the next detailing... Key the camera and save the view for later use too... I take a screenshot, double it's size in Photoshop and using the line tool and other photoshop tools I draw a stencil wich can be imported into Z4. Camera view loaded, and using the stencil in projection master I project the line detail onto the surface. aquilar: Thanks! Yep, I was thinking the same thing...I'll see if I can upgrade the cat head... :)
