I cant wait…
This is going to sound really ungrateful, and I realise I might risk getting hung by the knackers for this, but PLEASE tell us we’ll finally have a way to paint across multiple textures/UV’s, or whatever it is required to paint a DAZ or Poser figure!
The power or ZBrush and it’s sheer awesomeness is making it more and more unbearable with each new release to have to live with this limitation. The stuff you guys are innovating here is mind blowing and light years ahead of it’s time, yet it trips up in the “Brushing a model” department. If it’s not in this release, then all I can do is ask that you please consider it for the next because surely ZBrush is the ultimate tool for DAZ and Poser content creators.
It’s a totally nuts program no matter what though, ZBrush has surely proven itself a worthy investment to everyone who uses it, it certainly has for me!
Thankyou Pixologic
It’s been over two weeks since Sneak peek2. I think it’s about time we had a more in depth explanation what’s included in the new update. It will stop a lot of frustrated speculation.
PLEASE…WANT…MORE…!!!
MORE PEEK!! pretty please
NOTE Due to the awesomeness of Z4R2, the author cannot wait for more on this release. Unfortunately, he can only rhyme:
One more tease,
if you please.
Without further ado,
give us new info on R2.
Doesn’t have to be a big deal,
an appetizer instead of a meal.
A little video would be fair,
make us glad we use underwear!
** Please, don’t make me do this again. Just post more on Z4R2, asap! If not… I got the time to rhyme…**
That is a sensible plan:) I’ll post a new Z4R2 movie tonight.
That’s why we love you guys…you listen. =)
Awesome work!!!
Im glad to see that Pixo continues chasing every corner of shape creation like negative sculpting through booleans and freeform shape creations on the fly without constraints.
While the technological and creative gap between more generalist 3d products (Maya,Max,XSI) is not so obvious, Zbrush is so ahead of the competition in terms of technology, software engineering and creative solutions that i have the feeling that we are reaching a point when any attempt to refer to a “traditional pipeline” constraint will not only not make any sense but clearly cast a serious light on how outdated our actual pipelines are and a big “you dont quite get it do you?” question mark on some detractors referring to this “standard” label.
In this context it will be more reasonable to ask for “unreasonable” tools as Pixo has proven over and over again that they can deliver a very different approach to the same problem.
Congratulations not only for a great tool but most importantly a “can do” attitude and a pioneering spirit.
P.S. - Can I help?
Can you guys add Sculptris’ sculpting functionality where the subdivisions are generated when you build up models? Grabbing, drawing by clay, etc.?
That would be awesome.
Someone hasn’t been paying attention…
OMG. That’s wonderful then!
Its fine and dandy that there is newer version, but what would blow everybody else out of the water would be a more cleaner, user-friendly UI. You would think making THAT better would a top priority. Why not take a tip from the Autodesk approach to the UI. Even though it is simplier, Mudbox can learned right out of the box.
UI won’t change. Not for a long time…if ever. It already has a wonderful approach…clean when you need it and Customizable for ones comforts. This way, the user makes it how they want. Traditional UI is antiquated. One thing I teach my students:
It’s simple really. ZBrush is a wonderful tool for the creative and expressive. Learn to use it to the best of your ability or learn to use something else.
Oh yeah, need help…just ask.
You fight a program, you fight your progress.
So… what people is hoping is a different user interface? it gets old to improve the capabilities of the software?
They finally got to the point where you don´t need to worry about topology when you are creating. You can start from any shape and free your imagination to do whatever you want…DO WHAT YOU WANT!! but that´s nothing compared with a new UI? What´s wrong with the UI? that you have to learn it? And that is something that only happens to Zbrush?
they give you a machine that lets you fly and you complain because you were expecting new shoes…
Thanks for continuing to update this awesome software with even more…awesomeness!
Buying ZBrush is like the ideal investment.
What you get in return always exceeds your expectations…
Unlike the $500 scam upgrade I get with the other company that makes you wonder how they ever get away with it and build an empire of success based on dribbles of innovation…every third or fourth upgrade…most of it pointless and mediocre…
Genius…!!
Go Pixologic Go!
This release looks FANTASTIC, thanx heaps Pixologic.
I’m daring to hope we might get the ability to create timed animation keys thru a Zscript command that would really give us some powerful new capabilities.
Been with ZBrush since day one, there’s no words to express myself. All I can say God Bless ZBrush.
