really cool work !! :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Small update for the inner structure of the legs:

CC Update7.jpg

C&C always welcome

Forget the last pic for the leg… :frowning:
Had a critical error while saving and now i have to do the whole leg detailing again.

And i just finished the leg interior …

Is there a way to recover a .zzz File?

Ouch, sorry to hear that. I’ve had the same thing happen to me, so I know the feelings. At least you got some renders made, you can use those as a reference. Also, it’s looking very cool, great attention to detail!

these look awesome… yeah i had a picture i was working on for a day have a error on me some time back here…its not fun for sure

Thanks for your kind words, i’m lucky it’s not too bad … about 4-5hours of work.
Sucks but i’ll hang in there and make it better this time.

…

Wah … now thats frustrating:
Tried something and renamed the .zzz (Z-tempfile) into a .ztl (Z-tool) and dropped it in the tool-folder…
now i can’t open the tool but i see the leg with a pic of the last render in Lightbox.

Has someone an idea how i eventually can get it run?
Now i’ll try to rename it into an .obj and try to import it somewhere…

Edit:
.zzz in .obj renamed, import into Z and max failed :frowning:

Any ideas?
Otherwise … peep happens, lets get back to work.

Now i get real frustrated…

Can’t save the project or the tool…
everytime i try to save Z gets stuck and after about 10seconds win7 tells me that Zbrush isn’t working anymore.

No discription, no code, nothing. Again some work gone to nirvana.

Hope i can get the sys-admin of my school soon to fix it and reinstall Z …

It sucks when things like this distrupts the workflow. My only advice would be to try the support forums. :frowning:

Hi Zbrushers!

I’m a bit happy again …
Don’t know what it was, but i think i solved the problem. :bulb:

At first sys-admin reinstalled Z, but the problem with my Centurion project was still there. Other projects had no problems.
I tried GoZ and the same issue i had with saving occured: Z stopped working with no disciption or useful information.

I used my last working saved file to start allover again.

So i tried my last known way for saving the project and be sure i can reconstruct everything…

In the last week i exportet every single piece into an .obj-file, imported it into max, exported again in an new obj, imported into Z and reconstructed the Centurion piece for piece in a new project. Was a bit tricky and i hated every single second of it, but it worked. :+1:

In those really really really hated moments of rebuilding, i stooped and builded a head-piece for the Centurion and a small 'driver’cabin. :stuck_out_tongue:

Now i hope that i can find back into my ā€˜creative’ flow for the whole piece…

Here are some updated pics:

C&C always welcome!

Hi Zbrushers!

It’s been a while… Had not much time for the project but made a small update with
fibermesh-hairs and gave the surface a bit more feeling of weave and leather.
Added seams with the default stitch-brushes and a simple beltbuckle from the default IMM-brushes.

Next task is to get his mask more ā€˜technical’ and more detailed dirty coloring.
But i’ve some other projects to focus atm…

C&C always welcome.

Mechanic Update2.jpg

Hi there

just ordered new Hardware…

ASUS Maximus V FORMULA, Intel Z77 Mainboard
Intel Core i7-3770K 3,5 GHz (Ivy Bridge)
Kingston HyperX Beast Series, DDR3-2400, CL11 - 32 GB Kit
Samsung 840 Series 2,5inch SSD, SATA 6G - 250GB

Let’s hope that ZB will get a boost!
What you think? Wrong spent money or good investment?

I’heard rumors about ZB5 release this year and i really hope that there is 64bit support and take those 32GB to push polycount per Subtool!

Hi there Zbrushers

While waiting for my new hardware, i started a new WIP piece for the Space Marine.
He has a Chainsword, now he needs a Bolter!
About 4hours, still not final.

C&C always welcome!
