It looks sooo … sweet?! :stuck_out_tongue: its really believable and superb. only if there were more texture details on some areas specially on its arms.

Very nice, I love it!

wow! very good render and sculpt!

Thanks guys!

A note to anyone interested in the article: 3D Creative Magazine moved the article on the November 2010 issue #63 instead of the December issue as previously scheduled. So it will be in the next issue!

Thanks again to everyone!

Looking good man!

One thing I would like to point out though, and I don’t know if you came here for the compliments or the critique or both :stuck_out_tongue: but hey imma give it to you anyway.

I miss something in the picture that can be used as a comparison so I can see what scale this creature is! (like the dollar next to a giant cricket idea:P)

Hey Slice, I’m sharing my works to hear other people’s opinions, and as far as they are constructive feedbacks everything is welcome
What you said is true: I completely forgot to place a reference for understanding its dimensions on the image; the iron bars help but since they couldn’t be seen as a universal reference it’s kinda hard to tell the measurements of this creature. In my imagination, this creature is more or less 3/3.5 mt. long including the tail.
New lesson learned: always place a measure reference!

Thanks,

Fede

I love the design of the creature - it would be cool if it was a bit more slimy and shiny  Also I have a feeling that the environment is too uniform as far as the textures go - it’s all one size noise. Anyway the critter itself’s pretty neat :+1:

Hey Madgalena, thanks for your comment! In fact the spec map could have been better, more contrasted, right now I feel it to be a little flat.
About the background maybe your right, I was trying to give it a neutral overall feeling so the eye get not distracted from the main subject, but yeah it could be more interesting for sure

Thanks!
