Scythe's Anatomy

Hi guys,

happy new year and all, hope you had some good holidays. Here’s the final version of the rider, the last one taken from Katon’s drawing. Pondering if I should make it as a gameres char or not

I love the rough sculpting style and energy through out your sculpts. It really reminds me of Kalloway’s work a lot. I look forwared to more installments in the future.

Sweet!! Was gonna reply to your email but just saw this. Love it dude! I would keep it as it is, and do some other game models. Good job! Funny you did this guy. I am currently working on one as well and will be posting it sometime today or tomorrow. Keep it up my friend!

Hey thanks guys

@Katon : haha thanks man. To be honest I almost stopped it when I saw you posted your version. Glad you like it ! here two more shots of those guys. I’m pretty sure they could be part of an epic journey

no way dude, glad you did it! These are awesome. I love his little feet!

Loving the cartoony proportions ! Great thread

haha thanks man ! I switched to something different for now but i’m definitely going back to this style soon. Challenging and fun at the same time, what’s not to love in there

Those are awesome anatomy studies. and it clearly show’s the progress through the challenges …
But I was wondering if you could answer kind of a noob question.
How do you use the reference? do you use photos? how do you analyse them?
In clay sculpting ,when copying, we usually work with gesso or plaster casts so we perceive its “3Dness”. But how do you do that with photos?
Or do you use some other method for obtaining and analyzing reference?

I would very much appreciate you to clear this out for me since i’m sort of new into Zbrush
Cheers

love the boar! it looks so solid. nice sense of mass and weight.

I just gotta say, I love this thread and your artwork. Very inspiring.
Especially your personal anatomy workflow training. :+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

Hi everyone, long time no see!

was recently approached by Junction3D to test their newest 3D printer, the Solus DLP 3D printer, on some of my anatomy project. It really managed to keep some of the tiniest details on the sculpt.
Here’s some shot with the support while I wait for it to be remove. More might follow so stay tuned.

You can check some of their other prints on http://www.junction3d.com/

cheers!

Awesome work! What 3D printer did you use to print your model?

The link is actually: http://www.junction3d.com/
Very cool print BTW.

thanks man, for some odd reasons the linking wasnt working properly

No prob. I was not trying to correct you, just, I wanted to really see what you were talking about-smile. Anywho, man, that printer is AMAZING. Your print looks like it was made by Hasbro or Mattel… can’t see ‘layer’ lines in the print. Way cool.

Hey peeps,

here’s a better version of the print.

It’s looking great! What are the dimensions?

Hey everybody, long time no see.

Not much time to work on some piece between jobs, yet I managed to do something during the workshop with the awesome Sze Jones.
