Sculpey clay sculpt wip...

50,
I like your vise workflow tip. Since I can’t find my turntable from a few moves ago, think I’ll try it!

Admiring your dragons… I wondered: Have you ever made a map for your ZB dragons, from a photo of your clay detailings? They’re so tight.

(Then I jumped to: Did he ever finish his Rat Fink Sled Pilot project?!)

=dp

There is a dancer in NYC who became quite popular for a few month not for his dancing but for the fact that he made drums out of animal skin in a brooklyn warehouse and actually caught anthrax doing that. So Anthrax is definitely rare but should not be excluded on your list of ‘outdoors’ dangers.

So… boil your tool before you lick it.

 Lemo

PS:Try to lick your elbow! If you can, dial 911!

Hi, Angelstein, thanks, yeah, I think Ron has a few surprises in him, don’t know what happened to him since this post. This one makes me think of an Aurora monster stepping of a grave base. I’d like to see some of your Zombie-gorey-monster heads done in clay, Ron. Maybe that one with the ‘boney ridges’.
Good point on the warning, Bill, it might be a good idea to keep a wet sponge in a tray of water for ‘licking’ the tool.

Lemo,…ugh!

Davinci990, no, I never thought of doing the mapping thing. I’m sure there are better ways than a vise, but it works.
The armature is not to be looked over, it’s the foundation and needs to be sturdy and designed so you can access the sculpt from any postion. I fought the ‘White Stuff’ for a long time. As for the ‘Polar Blast’ picture, I have jumped back into hands-on illustration and that is one I plan to draw for prints, I havn’t deleted the Zbrush tools yet though. 50.

lemonado boil everything before you lick it!

Just to discover a new digital clay Sculpting

bicc39, .

Hi Frenchy, Your internet links are endless, never heard of that one. 50.

My dog seemed rather alarmed at that statement.

Wow, I get busy in the real world for a few days and KapowYah!!! The little ole thread has been busy in my abscence. Kewlies.

You guys are great. I haven’t had the time to work on him since I first posted. It is supposed to rain here for the next couple of days, so muhahhahahahha no work and all play for me (and the zombie).

Thanks for the info and pm, Rich.:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Well I am glad I didn’t like my tools. But unforunately the white stuff is so soft that I licked my model directly to smooth out some rough edges…:o Is this a bad thing? It’s a great way to texture the skin, especially if you have a rough tongue… I had my cat, Sweetheart lick it as well when my jaws got tired. (she has a rougher tongue)…and knowing her, she would have griped and meowed me to death had she not been able to have a paw in it’s creation.

Hopefully Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning I will have an updated couple of pics.

thnx again, everyone. Ya’ll are way too funny…lol

Ron

I had my cat, Sweetheart lick it as well
We have to have a converstion!

Yeaaaaaay, Ron’s back! The ‘Real World’ does drag a person away. I hope you
can find time to bring that zombie to life. Bill, bicc…LOL. 50.

Was that before or after boiling, I am wondering? bicc

oh no…never mind I don’t wanna know

one should never lick one’s own tools tho…but…
if ya do…take pictures

I have been using “Super Sculpey” for years and it’s got to be the best thing around for small sculptures…here’s one I prepared earlier. It’s one of a number of 1/4 scale girls. Although my cat has shown interest I still prefer to lick these myself.

Pinky.jpg

Wow, pride! That is just awesome, and 1/4 scale! Looks like more fun that Sea Serpents. 50.

Fantastic on many levels Pride!!! Airbrush or did you lick the paint off partially?
:+1: :+1: :+1:
Lemo :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve done more realistic work in the past but this was way more fun. bunsculpsGLS92806a.jpg

great lakes rabbit society
Who’s purpose is…?

i meant sanctuary, great lakes rabbit sanctuary, its a place for abandoned rabbits, some are adoptable.

I liked it better the other way.
Had visions of a rabbit governing council, military tribunal, executions.
Vision of a castrated Elmer Fudd.
Oh well!

I missed this one Ron. Looks pretty good to me. We must have gone shopping on the same day for Sculpey. I just haven’t used mine yet. Probably needs to be replaced. Are there any updates? Enjoying it? Which do you like more…Actual sculping or software? Probably advantages and fun found in both. Looking forward to updates. Later.
