viewport grabs of the sculpts
Great sculpt and design. cheers
I really enjoy your sculpts nice job!
Hey,
@danpants - thanks! glad you like the sculpts.
@farhadnojumi - thanks, I really like your work.
well, this is a quick sketch done in a small patch of free time, the horns need work.
Played around the frame4 matcap to get the renders. Will post an update hopefully soon enough.

Another sketch and renders…

Here is a quick sculpt of a parasite, made heavy use of alphas.
For renders, i used matcaps with wax effect set to max. (zbrush+photoshop)

I hate parasites the size of a bus.
That thing is creeping me right the hell out!
Thanks and well done!
and another sculpt… rendered in ZBrush and paintovers in Photoshop.

Hey!
Thanks guys! I’ll probably visit some of the older sketches to color.
@RasmusW -
I started adding some color and painting out certain areas when assembling the render passes. Its fun! The earlier renders just had some gradients and a bunch of matcaps with different blend modes set for the layers.
@Fynn -
Well, the post work is all done in photoshop, I do a ‘base’ render in Zbrush (just grey, no color)… this includes the shadow, AO, depth, specular along with the different light passes. I also render out some matcaps for color.
After the passes for the grey render are assembled I add the color renders / textures / painting certain areas. its like a kid’s coloring book.
I prefer this approach when doing stills for the concepts, I guess one can manipulate the color schemes quickly at concept stage.
