Yes!! But I didn’t know what could it be…And I had to put a name on it… Do you have any suggestion?? =P
Hi Highlander, I am going to make a realistic painting, and maybe convert the planes in hair…
Sounds great! I cant wait to see how you handle that.
How about letting us take a look at the wires in the meantime?
Salute!
PS: I’m no expert, but think Satyrs can be either male or female. How the heck would they reproduce to begin with?
From wikipedia:
In the Dionysus cult, male followers are known as satyrs and female followers as maenads or bacchants.
So… you might call her a maenad, I guess, for the sake of calling something other than ‘female satyr’. Great sculpt, by the way.
great model, very sexy looking. and a side note it would be called a Satyress. thats the actual term.
Fantastic !!! Congratulations !!!
Nice sculpting. Congrats!
Nice attention to form. I think the left knee could be a bit wider though.
Fantastic work so far
Beautiful sculpt, flow and pose…
Dickie
Wow… fantastic work! She’s looking great. I like the pose. My only concern is the stomach area as it seems to be twisting back to the right. Keep it up though dude
Hey guys!!
That’s an attempt to finally finish my model and, move on for another project…. I made the rendering using mental ray, and some “post” production on Photoshop.
Hope you like it!!

 how could you do that ?
Hey guys!!
These are the images of the satyress without the clothes. Some parts may look a little bit deformed because I modeled the body considering the clothes that she’d wear.
top model. especially her upperbody looks awesome
yes great job with the anatomy, the legs arent near as defined as the upperbody but still very amazing sense of weight and balance in the pose.
shame to see teh contraposto problem unsolved - nice texturing
could you please give me a hint about how to making these awesome hair of hers ?
really good anatomy btw !
Hi Dhasian!
The hair was made with planes, extruding the edges… I don’t think that it is the easier way to do that, but it works.
What made my work a little bit easier, was to duplicate some of the meshes and distort with FDD from max, or lattice from maya, to give the movement.
If you want, you can convert the poligons to NURBS, and then convert to hair.
The planes works, in that case, because you can use it to create a hair with alpha, if you don’t have the skills to rendering hair (wich is my case)…
I hope it can help you!!
Cheers
