Santis Sketchbook

i would take a second look at the shoulder area. Try to pin point the scapula, clavicle and acromion process and seperate them from your deltoid and trapezius. This should give you a much better result on your shoulders.

define your character’s rib cage too, as it would effect how you would sculpt your serratus muscles.

i would smooth out the connection between the bicep and forearm.

other than that the model seems to be heading to a pretty good direction, and judging from your previous works, it should turn out pretty awesome  but the shoulders are really bugging me…it’s effecting the silhouette of your model.

quote:" I won’t sculpt the muscles muscle by muscle" let’s see if you’ll be able to resist the temptation…

Great start Santis!, im really looking forward to the develop of this project!:+1:

mauro_matheus: Thank you!

Piggy:Thanks alot for the critique, I’ll look more in to it as soon as I get back to him again

Etcher: Haha, I know, I’m really tempted to do so!
We’ll see what happens :stuck_out_tongue:

manzarek123: Thanks bud!

I’ll throw in a small update on my Christmas project, I started this morning, so I haven’t done much yet, just ben playing around with the proportions and composition to see what works, I think I’m getting there.
(expression on the face, and pose will be changed later on)

Everything done in Zbrush expect some topology changes made in C4D with Goz, I will stick to Zbrush for this entire project, I’ll just do some final comp in PS

I also rendered out 2 sss passes that I really wanted to use, but they didn’t give me a good result so they got cut out.

How did you get the Thin Spec, Sharp Spec, Wide Spec and Matte?

Hey, I like your Santa Santis…But I think he had better use the front door next time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS…Santis :+1:

Dhyengo: They are all a black material with different specular curves.
And the Matte pass is made by just filling all the subtools with different colors and the flat color material.

Spiritdreamer: Thanks!
Haha, yeah he had to much to eat, and who haven’t lit the fireplace at christmas?

This week I’m having a major sale on my skeleton, until the beginning of next year my skeleton is sold for only 35$, so be quick before the price doubles!

It’s a high quality skeleton with multiple subtools, and each subtool have individual polygoups for easy selection and viewing.
All the subtools have multiple subdivision levels aswell, so it’s total polygon count ranges from 44,146 to 4,436,288 polygons.

:small_orange_diamond: You can buy it from turbosquid: http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/male-skeleton-c4d/566931

Enjoy!

Hey Santis!

God Jul :stuck_out_tongue:

Great price on the skeleton!
I have used it quite a few times already to check the symmetry in my models.

I can really recommend buying it!
