Sanlik scout

crazy details, you sculpted the scales by hand or used alphas ?

works legit. An inspiration to see clean, what poly count were you aiming for and is it for a high res animation?

impressive detail man, nice topo too

Thanks mateys!
slocik, I made the scales by hand and used some alphas to help.
soulty666, Yes he is actually made for cinematic, im just working in the low poly.
Framedworld, Thanks mate.

great piece. looks way better without the head gear.

Simply Amazing

i like the detail on the scales on your character looks really good, and the overall design i just find odd the torso is very humanish reptiles dont have nipples or belly buttons other than that great work.

Excellent work! I really like this guy.

But that helmet(?)s bugging me. It doesn’t look big enough.

GX@W, Eiad, Thanks guys!
zuliban, Thanks mate for your point of view! Actually he is an humanoid that has evolved from a simple reptile specie. . Well, he has a complete biography lol because Sanlik if one of the main characters of a shortfilm im working on with my teammate.

grey32, Thanks mate, the helmet really fits his head lol

nice model, great texture, I’m waiting for more

Now that i look more at it, i liek teh bare chested version the most, i feel the armor just feels too blocky compared to the smooth curves of teh character ;D
also how ong did it take to sclup[t all thsoe scales ?

Guilhermeluccas_ thanks mate i am working on a beauty with a little environment of this guy also a low poly version.

Slocik_ thanks body, the scales were not hard to make, but they are not just alphas, that never worked for me. I sculpted with clay all over the scales to redefine them and that took some time. Once you know how to do it become fast !! I want to post some timelapse , but unfortunately mi sculpt Pc got video card damage :(

Hello Guys, Finally here is the Beauty of Sanlik, Hope you like it and enjoy it !

This is looking pretty good. Good sculpting on the character. One crit would be the position of the figure in the scene. For a guy having a cigar break, he looks too stiff. I would put him in a more casual, more relaxed position, having him engaged more with the audience. Not just staring off. Good texturing and detail work!

Great job, but I have to agree with the comments above.

agree with the above two guy. still a great piece.

I love this model the pose is fine hes just deep in thought lol

Thanks for your comments guys !

beautiful character and beautiful ambientation!
