beautiful work!!! love it… :+1:

warriah_021 - Thanks comment . Render is just simple . I use MAYA mentalray FinalGathering , only one arealight. Then, I did postproduction, Depth of field, by photoshop.

Sigmund Hentze - Hi Sir, OH! That is really wonderful !! I am living near Nippon Budokan , The tournament of the judo is frequently played there. We Japanese should know our own cultures well…

undoz - I love your work too . Your Rodin’s slave(of course another modeling ,too) is really excellent ! :o

alexleia - Hellow! Thank you your comment !! I am always inspired to your work.

Super Glitcher - Thanks ! The use of your ZSphere is useful and interesting. :+1:

undoz - I love your work too . Your Rodin’s slave(of course another modeling ,too) is really excellent !:o
ouch:( I had made a mistake.
The title is not “Slave” . Correct Title is “Age of Bronze”.

sorry my English

Nice work! Good details :+1:

I rendered the whole-length from three directions.

C&C welcome

hi, i really dig your samurai… ichiban sugoi des neh…

i was wondering if you could enlighten me on how did you achieve such straight lines with the “skirt” sorry i don’t know the correct term for that…
did you did the base lines in another software or did you sculpt it in zbrush?
if it’s in zbrush, how did you do it? which brush and what settings did you use?

hope that’s not too many questions… arigato…

I’ll bet the Lazy Mouse option was used for the lines - and it’s not a skirt by the way. You can turn Lazy Mouse off and on via the Stroke menu.

johnckl3d - Hi , In Japan , clothes like this skirt are called “HAKAMA”.
At first I modeled this “HAKAMA” by MAYA.
Then afterwards, I sculptured this Low-model with ZBrush.
ZSphere is used for the modeling of the belt.

Teyon - You won
I used Lazy Mouse .

sorry my English .

very cool!! Thanks for the insight

thanks for taking the trouble for the wireframes… that’s really awesome… i think you really nailed the texture of the materials… especially the cloth, with the right amount of stiffness in the hakame and the softer touch on the shirt… it’s a good thing that they have it on the turntable gallery… i’ve been spinning your model around for a dozen times now haha…

it’s hot hsit in a champaigne glass

Why did you put his left hand so high up on the tsuka?

Super Glitcher
Thank you

kutzinaga
Thanks:lol:!!

kansuke
I referred to the art of drawing real swords.
His left hand grasps the bottom of Tsuca.
It is a correct method in the art of drawing real swords.

sorry my English:confused:
