awesome!
the topology looks good, should help to get nice smooth transitions between shapes
A new image I’ve created with my character Samantha.
Done in max, zbrush, photoshop and hair-farm.
I really like this a lot!
Nicely composed scene. Beautiful lighting.
Really tells a story. Great image!
oh my god, this is great!! really beautiful work, love the composition!
Real Fun Image, really like this model
Would love to know more about the hair - Have you posted anything detailed about it anywhere?
Dan.
Hell of a render she is beautiful, Wonderful cartoon pin-up I Candy for sure
all the best to ya… keep up the fantastic and amazing work Sir
and best of all thank you for sharing.

I guess we’re in the Halloween spirit today. Great comp and sculpt. Congrats!
Nice work!
Tons of great details, lighting, and materials. I especially like the hair and smoke effects. (and of course the sculpting and modeling :))
My only criticisms are that the frog looks a little lumpy and imprecise compared to everything else, and the droplets of magic juice in the air seem to be pasted onto the scene, instead of being a part of it.
Reminds me of the witch scene I did a couple years ago for a challenge in the Sculptris forum (Yours being quite a bit more refined, of course!):

Instant 3D Artist/World magazine material! Awesome work man!
I love her! Really beautiful expressions!
congrats mate.
hehe, nice work, I got a good chuckle out of this one. she’s a real cutie that’s for sure. Keep it up!
Gotta Love Samantha! Thanks a lot for your comments. I totally agree, morph targeting is a great way to work with symetrical poses and then split in two sides.
Thanks heap for sharing this
Thanks a lot for your comments!!
deckard01 -> I did the hair with hair farm. I’ve attached an image of the hair farm mesh. You will see some of the curls intersect with her back, but that’s because I didn’t cared to correct it knowing it won’t be seen in the render. I modeled those curls using some splines as guides, wich took some time, but once they are done the modifiers part is easy and I think the result is worth it. I also tried to create less uncombed hairs than I usually do and rendered the hair using the fastest option that creates the lowest noise, as I didn’t wanted the hair to have too much detail considering it’s not a realistic character.
oofnish -> I had some problems with the frog, as there was a couple of very strong green lights in that zone to simulate the liquid glow, that were washing out most of the frog details, I think it would look better with a more standard lighting. Regarding the droplets, I think you are right, they are maybe glowing too much.
Great character and the witch scene is lovely. Fab!
Thanks so much for the run down on your hair-farm process.
Much appreciated
Dan.
Great Work Woody !!
I like the idea of the hat morphing into tentacles!

Great work on Samantha. I saw her in her early days and always thought it was a great character design, you’ve made her even better.
Well done.
