This is an illustration I did recently. It was entirely drawn in ZBrush 3.1, painting black and white images to represent each colour shade. I constructed the RGB composite in Photoshop, translating the B&W masks into colour fill layers, defined by spline shapes, generated from the ZBrush images.

Thank you. Yes it is a personal project. I wanted to create an iconic, emblematic design, harking back to four colour process comic art of previous decades, when modern airbrushed gradients couldn’t be printed. Glad you like it!
