I think your sketchbook is off to a very good start.
Found an old head I made awhile back this weekend. I decided to revisit it and play with some of the proportions. Comments and Critiques are always welcomed thanks!

Wow! Awesome thread. How come I missed this?
What a Mug!
I noticed something about the eyes
the eyelid fold turns up a bit in the outer corners
which dose’nt seem “correct”
it appears to be like one of those details you don’t think about until its
done wrong.
check it out I might be mistaken
also if you get a better shadow on the eyes they might settle into the face a bit better.
nice sculpt!
How’s the progress with the red chick? I love her haircut btw.
Thanks for the replies!
@SadamHu: Thanks man!
@jinda2001: Good observation; I’ll make sure to address this issue next time I am working on that head.
@VictorCS: Thanks for asking about the progress of the girl.
I kind of put her on the back burner for a little bit while I was concentrating on other things. I did make some minor tweaks on her body and also on her face. Here is what she looks like currently. I do have plans to complete her as a game resolution model but this is what I have as of now.
Let me know what you think!
Hey guys,
I decided to start a sculpt of myself last week. Working on the clothing for now. Will jump back to the head once I feel the clothing is done. Let me know what you think; comments and critiques are always welcomed.
thanks,
roland
It looks just like you!
Here is the painted version of myself from Zbrush renders.

Simoply awsome
I went ahead and reworked the jeans a little. Hopefully the folds look a little more natural now. I also reduced the hand size, it was a little on the big side. Comments and crits are welcomed
thanks!
impressive!
it is a perfect portrait!
bravo!
It looks like it’s coming out well, but I don’t know what you look like. Could you post a photo for comparison?
I agreewith webhead. I can´t tell it is perfect yet…
But he looks awesome!
Hello,
I decided to try my hand at a superhero sculpt. Colossus from the X-men was who I decided to sculpt up this time.
Comments and critiques are always welcomed!
thanks
Wow, may I ask what your cloth painting/shader process was for your self portrait? The jacket looks spot on man!
Colossus looks freaking awesome man!
May I ask how you whent about creating it? Just zbrush or did you start from at basemesh? And did you just use transpose master to pose?
Rolob Pretty awesome Colossus
@Storm: I used a base mesh I created in 3ds max. It’s pretty much the same base mesh I use for all my models. Once I get it to where I like it, I do a retop in order to get a cleaner mesh. I used transpose master and 3ds max to pose the character up.
@polaroid29: I usually cake on multiple materials while painting the model. Once I feel happy with a material I will keep it on the mesh and continue finalizing the paint. The jacket consists of two materials(the orange v and the rest of the jacket). I don’t remember what materials they are though; I’ll have to check when I am home.
Thanks guys!
