Did you use a displacement map or bump for any of this, or did you just render the high poly model with your texture map?

I exported 1 or 2 level less than the highest subdivision level in zbrush and then used their normals maps to get more details.
Some subtools were even exported at 2nd and 3rd subdivision levels. Exporting all subtools at the highest level is not advisable.
Displacement maps take lot of time to render. This method proved to be a lot faster for me.
