I doubt he’s still here dani…he posted 3 months ago. And if Robert is still here then, well…I’d suggest to him that he does a bit of work HIMSELF before asking others to help him. How do you expect people to get excited over a concept when you give us sketches like the one’s you showed us earlier? Become an artist. Become a programmer. Become a musician. Then go out to the world with something worthwhile, and maybe people will help you. If that’s too much work for you, then you’ll never make it in the games industry.
Unfortunately, Robert, he is making an extremely valid point. If your work is completely copyright protected, let us see your business plan. The whole thing. Otherwise, your chances of getting someone to work WITH you (probably for a far larger share than a 0.5% royalty) who is very serious about what they do, are slim to none. Your shirking of very poignant advice and criticism does not bode well for you. I am unsure about US law, but I know that in the UK, unless you had a detailed contract specifically stating otherwise (and paying the artist a fair sum), copyright for everything they create belongs to them. You are also asking for artists to go beyond your vague concept sketch, and that IP would definitely rest with them.
If you are not careful, you may end up in a sticky situation, and if you continue to be rude to those who are giving you honest valuable advice, you will never have a team willing to work for you.
Please do not think I am trying to be cheeky, I am trying to help you, as was mudboxhype.
