You are right in the fact that Artrage is simple and fantastic looking natural media paintingsoftware, even the full edition is a “steal”…only $20 !!
I was surprised to see the name Cedric Trojani on the forum …thought he was a 3D man, remembered his renderings from the Carrara-site,…i liked them very much ; Strong compositions and nice light & material and minimalistic, you can see that in his 2D style, simple with a traditional twist …or as you would say : “very Zen”

That Weeks is a good painter ,Frenchy …one thing i don’t like in Artrage and in Artweaver is :the maximum size of the brush is to small ! …if you want to paint on a higher resolution-say 5000 x 3000 pixels , the brushsize should be big as well !
In Photoshop you can scale the brush to a much bigger size- sometimes to big to paint, but you can use it as a "stamp’tool for texturing !

So in Artwear you can make the same with a simple Select a Zone, fill it, copy / past (Ctrl +V), move it, past, move it etc…
