This stuff is all great! Thanks everybody!
I didn’t think I’d get so many great eye textures out of this. Thanks for everyone’s contributions.
Lemo - what does oog stand for? Your eyes have oog at the end of each.
hey heres something a little different. its actualy a nebula. i think it could be made into a crazy eye with a little ps work.
What do you think about this? Took less than 5 minutes.
hey thats pretty cool.thx slosh.

OK, I have created a UV map for a sphere but how do I add the eye material to the sphere? When I click Tool > Texture and then select a material it doesn’t apply correctly. Please help!
Thanks

Use the texture with polypaint or projectionmaster. Then save the new texture.
Thanks Slosh for the nice eyes. I will def use them. Nice Material btw. Can you explain how you made it?
Thanks for the reply, but that’s not the problem. When I select the textures they map wrong. I have created UV’s then I select Polypaint and fill the eye with a base color then select (Texture > New from Polypaint) then select the eye material but it loads like my image above.

OK, I’ve managed to figure out how to apply the eye material to the eye and used Vrepeat to resize the material so it is more realistic, but when I use Vrepeat how do I get rid of that outer ring?
Thanks
Normaly you do not repeat the texture of an eye. But to get rid of that ring, you choose Txr>Col and just paint it with RGB away. Then choose Texture > New from Polypaint.
Ok, thanks Baz. You said normally you don’t repeat the texture of an eye, so my question is "How do people make the eye material fit or resize to fit different sized eyes for different figures? There must be some way for a person to resize the map to fit?
Thanks
In C4D there is a way to adjust a layered shader, so the size and color is easy to change. With an alpha the pupil can be resized.
But I like more a photo. Left you see the render, middle wire and at the right the UV. You could scale the small part in the middle. The size of the eye is always the same exept the pupil. For a basic eye you can adjust the color in PhS and the pupil can be animated with a slider. (This is the way I do it)

Thanks Baz. I appreciate al the help. I am going to resize my eye map and then see if it fit’s better. I noticed that the pupil gets jagged when a horizontal map is used. I will post an example after I test this.
Sorry New here, How do i get the material?
Where’s the DL link? Awesome work btw!
Hi everyone. Awesome material. Saw someone use it and got the link to this thread. Could you please share the material. thank you
Did you end up finding the material?
