Reclining Poseidon in the style of Baroque (with Ztool links)

Great work… and it’s always good to see an Aussie making great art with Zbrush

You are truley gifted. Please let us know if/when the Ztool becomes available for us to download. Can`t wait to study your work up close! Very generous of you. J

Thanks for the download. Very clean work.:+1: :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

The download worked fine. You just have to retry a time or two. Speed is slow so plan on a few minutes. Around 50 KB/Sec.

I’m learning a lot from these gifts from people here on this board and they are always appreciated.

Whoa ! i check out your site now THATS art !!

nice one !

i particularly like the lying girl !!!

Im thinking of trying some 3d releif work

jim

Thanks Jim! The ā€œLying Girlā€ was sculpted by my wife, she`ll be happy you said that! J

PS. I just imported your Ztool of Poseiden. WOW. Inspirational modeling. Thank you.

avatarsw more power to both of you !

i really beginning to crave making the leap and getting my dirty hands with real clay if you know what i mean…

Its interesting I really would like to get a 3d print out of this model ,
but Ive been thinking about it a lot recently and im comming to the conclusion that it wont feel like my model if i do… it wont feel the same as if i actually carved into it myself with my own hands…

Not to say real is superior to digital or vice-versa its just i spent those hundreds of hours with this model in the computer and that how i have related to it and such … to touch and see the physical model will feel alien i think it will feel like its someone elses…

What do the other users out there think ?

has anyone had experience with a model they spent a loooong time on and then gotten it printed out ?

You could always get it done as this…

On a side note is anyone knows of a high detail 3d printing service that could do this guy justice please sing out…

Great work and infos, dude~

In regard of the 3d printing service you asked, I experienced some before. I assume you want to make them into a mini size sculputure right ? You can try laser scan or transfering your model data to CAD softwares for an exact 3d print out. If you are interested in those, feel free to email me for more infos.

great work, thanks to share it with us

A friend of mine owns a 3d printer, but an entry level one that requires some finishing after. But he came up with the idea that if you could block out the model, then you could export just the ā€œskinā€ pieces, which could go around solid chunks of foam. If it could be worked out, then you could conceivably get a pretty big sculpture from a small printer.

This is truly inspiring work, how proud are you!! Congrats on hiting top row definatley deserve it.:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:small_orange_diamond:+1:

great work!
(BTW, i like baroque style very much, but in it’s music)

Impressive Job Jim! :+1:

Forgot to mention the beard as well! Absolutely Great! :+1:

Kevin

I don’t think this material resembles marble that much. Maybe some DOF blurring could work too. The specular highlights seem too strong.

Looks like someone gave him an oil rub down, shmexy

And I think his left foot should touch the ground, its just kinda hanging there.

hi there! i think your work is very very good. amazing!!! :+1:
can you explain how did you made that beard? did you use some alfa stuff, or was it pure modelling?
thanx

Great work. You have done great job with this project you worked on. Even I hav’nt got to the level that you have. Maybe I have not put enough practice into it.

Anyway great job and keep it up!!! :+1:

anybody know where i could find a skeleton ? for download ? or buy , as ztl or obj
