Thanks for the replies …
skullbeast : Thanks for your comment. I am a fan of your work and i feel encouraged by your comment…
Aravindan : Thanks Bro…
Vancross : Thanks for you comment. The snake was actually made for a recent project. Once i had done it, i felt i should do an illustration…a presentable image…Thats how i ended up with this…

A little update…
Added a few twigs… new renders and few tweaks in compositing…

Thanks for looking…

Great job on the aligator! Would you be so kind to tell me how you made the scales on the back? With the new move brush? Very well done!

Awesome. I really like your reptiles :+1:

Moni-Poroni : Thanks…
your matcaps look good… hope to see you sculpting soon…
The larger scales on the back were done by masking off the unwanted areas and using the “Damien Standard Brush” the center of each scale was pulled out. The move brush was then used on top of that to get more elevation…

Captain Sensible : Thanks a lot…
I believe all zbrushers love to do reptiles :D… I really enjoy sculpting all those scales…

Love that Kroko. Amazing detail and anatomical correct. Thumbs up.

locusta : Thanks a lot for the appreciation…
I would like to take the detailing to the next level… will be spending more time on it…

added some more details…
i have a small doubt… i hope someone will be able to help me…
i want to know whether crocs or alligators have tongue…
i havent found any images of a croc showing a tongue…so i am left wondering… whether they have it ???

Any comment or info which will help me do justice to this model will be of immense value…

Thanks for looking…

http://in.answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20081020025801AAixdrR as far as the model looks your there nice job too!! i would mix up the symmetry tho for a more natural look and textures??

Thanks a lot Gary …

Crocodiles and Aligators have a tongue, but not like other reptiles like snakes or lizards.

It is a solid part of the inside of the lower jaw and can´t be stretched out. But it has a few very important sensors.

cheers

Nice work on the croc, looking forward to seeing this guy textured! And very informative about the tongue locusta!

Beautiful work.

locusta: Thanks man for the info…

zberry : Thanks for the compliment. Will be texturing it for sure…

Aberrant : Thank you…

No updates for 4 weeks…thats bad…
I was busy with a lot of things… (relocating to a newly rented apartment …etc etc)…
Just got my internet connection yesterday…
This where i had reached before two and a half weeks…
havent touched it after that…just thought i would post this wip shot to kick start again…
tried a simple polypaint… extracted some temporary displacement maps (lots of sculpting to be done…and that means new maps)…
rendered using mentalray…
