Ralf Stumpf Workshow 2011

I really love it !!!

I really love all Jim Henson’s work, especially as one of my first memories as a little kid, is him showing me how to manipulate the real kermit the frog !!! (I heard he is burried with him) Really a nice man !!!
And on top of it you really made it well !!!

Can you tell how you did the “colerette” ??? ( the sort of fabric necklace making waves - don’t know how to call it in English sorry ) I’m really curious about it (radial symm, mask, expand ??? something else ??? you wrote insertmesh but I don’t belive this very part is made with it ? - can be wrong… please tell  ).

Congratulations again !!!

SO GOOD! One of my favourite childhood films! Superb work, I heard they are remaking The Dark Crystal as an animation too. It will be interesting to see how it turns out

So cool to see some Dark Crystal sculpts. Really cool work!

Love it. Nice colors too!

I’ve spent the last few days going through this entire thread in my spare time… Very inspiring. My main interests for using ZBrush are 3D Printing and Illustrations so you pretty much hit the nail on the head on both counts!

Hello, thanks for your comments.

I made a new render with my EVE-Robot from page 20.
Rendering is done in ZBrush. I render material, AO and ID
passes and combine them in PS. I heavily use noise maker
for texturing the parts. The base textures are created in Alchemy
or direct with the noise maker plug in.

Hope you like it

Cheers

Great use of Alchemy for that, and nice image. I still have Alchemy but haven’t used it for a while now; I wish it had continued to be further developed but from what I last saw it had pretty much died with no updates to the website in a few years.

that looks great ralf.
and ye! alchemy was/is a great program.

Superb! Really love their style. Any break-downs?

Awesome attention to detail, and nice job all the way around. On a side note, it would be cool if the battering ram dragon still has wings. But is soooo heavy and powerful that they cant support flight. That’s just the feel i get from your design.

Thanks for your comments, also thanks to lensman888 and Rasmus
for the comments on my previous work.

nebular: thanks, I have no break-down this time. Both Dragons are modeled
in pose. Like in traditional sculpting all details are done on both sides without
symmetry.

truubluu: thanks, it was the the concept to make the Battering Ram heavy
and the main reason the wings have this size is that it is a toy and not a maquette.
But for a toy they are really well made, all details you see in the digital model
are in the produktion model you can buy. And they are hand painted.

Cheers

Yeah, as above, gorgeous detail. Gonna get these printed? - With Keyshot being introduced it’s going to be somewhat difficult to tell if members’ uploads are renders or prints!

Edit: Duh, should have read above that these are going to be manufactured…
