Go to your “ZBrush 4R6/Troubleshoot Help” folder and run “vcredist_x64.exe” if you are on a 64 bit OS or “vcredist_x86.exe” if you are on a 32 bit OS.

It’s not a bug, tis the way the Clip Brushes work. They don’t cut parts of the mesh away, instead the mesh gets flattened to the line you draw. Sometimes you can get lucky and the mesh won’t get bunched up, other times you need to use the likes of the Trim brushes and then delete the new closed hole geometry.

Please help!. I’m using zbrush 4R6 on my Mac and every now and then Zbrusjh freezes so i can’t move the Zbrush window around the screen. Sometimes zbrush would not even launch
and it’s icon would keep bouncing in the dock but it would refuse to open
