Question for Perl programmers

Wow, I’m clueless.
Im trying to make a program I made in perl send a packet. It can’t be all that complicated, but Ive been looking for two days and I havent figured out how!!! Whenever I look up stuff on google about perl, it gives me CGI scripts that interact with a web page and other stuff. All I want is to be able to send a stinking packet!! If anyone can point me in the right direction, I would appreciate it a lot.

Sounds like you need a decent reference for Perl. I vote for the OReilly “Perl in a Nutshell” or “Programming Perl”. Maybe take yourself over to a Barnes & Noble and sit in the store for a bit.

Regardless, what’s the packet you are looking to send? What are you writing?
