Mandy

A totally lovely work !! beautiful collaboration --now let’s form a country for her to rule  :+1: :+1: :+1:

Truly beautiful job!!!
Regal in fact.
Well worth the time and effort.

Thanx to all who have commented and keep watching…There will be more Princesses here soon.
This was my first attempt at a collaboration, and I want to say it has been VERY rewarding, and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to explore new ground…
Working with Doris, I saw a whole new way of dealing with colour, new ways of approaching brushwork, and an example of the utility of using a model to set light and shadow, and make very sophisticated painting possible in ZBrush…
Although she has been painting a very short time, and I have painted most of my life, I think she taught me, more than I taught her, and I know we both had a great time…

Remember what 3D means…
You can hold it in your hands.

ZBrush produces IMAGES, and this is a great way to maximise the production of that 2D piece.
Model->Render->Overpaint

Try it!

Well done! The end result is beautiful and interesting to watch develop. Everyone needs a Princess in thier life. :+1: :+1: :+1:

Fantastic work! :+1: :+1: :+1:

Always good to see works in progress.

The blue hair and the sepia versions are my favourite.

Congratulations.

thank you all from me too ! yes, indeed it was great fun creating princess fiona, and so we keep going with fun … so here is princess hasifa

she is painted from the same model as fiona, and mariella, only i deleted the hair tool, and changed skin color a little … the modeling of more african features i did with painting …

and since we think this way of painting is a very efficient and fun way, i want invite you all to join in in our fun :

create your own princess (or prince if you prefer  ) by modeling a head, place, light and then paint away … and dont be afraid, it is not necessarry to have perfect head model, all modeling mistakes can easlily be corrected by painting … so, join in, show us your princesses and have fun in creating them !!

KOKORO WHAT A BEUTIFUL IMAGE¡¡¡¡
THANKS FOR SHARE YOUR ART, YOUR ELEGANT ART¡¡
THANKS
Andreseloy

There are so many things I like about this last image (african princess). The lips are great, nice eyes, eyebrows and lashes (still working on those) and in particular, I’m so impressed with the clothing which is another area that I know little about. The clothing on her left shoulder is really, really nice.

Great job.

Your latest is one of the very best in this already FINE thread :+1: :+1: :+1:

Say ‘Hi!’ to ‘Ming Wa’…

This method for painting is amazingly quick and useful. I encourage you to try this…
ZSphere -> Adaptive -> Unified.

Minimal modelling necessary, merely refining, followed by rendering and painting.

Hey Stonecutter That is a fine and most beautiful image --a real different and distinctive beauty–the painting on the hair is fabulous --and all the added touches too :+1: :+1: :+1: :+1:

Thanx Mr. RoBo…

I wanted to comment on Princess Hasifa.
This is a wonderful example of the flexibilty of this method of producing paintings from ZBrush…The same model, with sufficient practice and skill can become many different paintings…
And the clothing and jewellery here, as well as the rest are a tribute to the skill Kokoro has developed in an incredibly short time. In particular, the cloth on the right is totally believable, and I personally am inspired by the versatility and imagination of this piece.

I’ll be back…

:+1: :sunglasses: :+1:

i am glad you like hasifa … there will more princesses come …

zerobio, i am particular delighted you mention the clothings, which was one of my ideas to exercise with her too … in fact these were not very difficult, only you need idea how to … and here is how i made cloth on her left shoulder :

choose paint brush with low rgb setting, like 15, and color of choice like pink, and use first round soft alpha, big brush size and freehand stroke and paint in one or two layers form of cloth … so skin shines through still … now on boundaries make a few extra strokes and maybe change color just a slightly bit … add a faint shadow on skin close to boundary to make believable 3d nature of cloth … you now have the basic dress and now change alpha, i used number 25, and stroke type dragrectangle and now make tiny strokes with rectangle stroke over the middle transparent area … and since you make variations and place close together you get illusion of fabrique … i hope this helps you get started with experiments on your own … good luck !

Hi Kokoro
Funny! it’s the double in “blake” of an movie actress “Marthe Keller”
