pointpusher Sketchbook (2 new VID onpage 31)

Great stuff here! It was great meeting you at the Gnomon event on the 22nd and putting a face to these cool sculpts. It’s cool taking a look at how your workflow is with regards to zSpheres, Dynamesh and what not, all mashed together.

Awesome sculpts! I’ve had you followed on Vimeo for awhile now. Your sculpts are always fun to watch come alive. Hopefully I’ll be taking your course at Visualarium. I’ve been meaning to ask: where do you get that timer you use in your time lapsed videos?

Anyway, keep it up, very inspirational to see your work and process!

Thanks so much guys. Here is another speedie. 2 hours from this morning. I almost never do anything hard surface, and designing this thing was a fun change of pace. @Teyon it’s camtasia’s recorder, that’s what I used to capture most of the videos I make these days.

Great job on such a simple, clean hard surface design! I really enjoyed your live demo at Gnomon a couple of weeks back as well! Your trolls and fat demon are just awesome!

Oh cool. I have Camtasia Studio 7 but I never tried leaving the recording box open as I recorded. I’ll have to try that. Besides just the awesome sculpting info you’ll teach us in the Visualarium course, I hope you go into a little on creating nice turn tables.

These are fantastic.
Your videos are an inspiration in working, trusting your inner voice and staying cool within that process .
Bravo Sir!!:+1:

Thanks Boozie, that’s exactly what I’m trying to do. Sometime, I fail but hey, if you don’t go for it, you’ll never get “there”…

Here is a little sketch from the other night:

Hey Danny - I don’t really have anything to say that hasn’t been said already. I’m basically just posting so I’ll get notified when you update your thread  Thanks for showing and sharing man!

Pretty awesome work Danny! I’m Thankful to artists like you that document their work and work-flow so thoroughly, hard surface techniques, making chains,-links etc. It establishes great community. I def plan to give something back when I get better as well!

Wanted to thank you for the ZBworkshops webinar Danny!
I think it was great and I have to say that you are one amazing sculptor!

It looks Great Danny… O wait I am in your class lol

It’s great learning from you.

Great sculpt, It’s a pleasure to be learning from you!

My first post to the forums Danny and I couldn’t think of a better way to join than by congratulating you on your latest character. It has a nice balance of shapes, kind of like a detailed cartoon in a way. Good stuff as usual.

Thanks all! Been super busy, so not a lot of updates. Adamn! What’s up sir!
Here is a WIP from assignment 3 in class:

Super cool work as always, Danny. :+1:

I really love your work pointpusher. i was watching some of your amazing ‘speed sculpts’ on your site…man you’ve got some serious talent!! all of it is very inspiring.

i like the granny sculpt too! it’s easy to imagine her in a film…she already has a lot of personality…i would think it would be easy to come up with a storyline to throw her in.

great, great work!!
