I played with this and found a workaround. So here it is the workflow for creating Adaptiv Skins and make them scale correctly.
- Load your base figure, for example V4
- Use retopo to define a new mesh
- Click on “Make adaptive skin” to create the mesh
- Export the mesh by using the button in the Tool palette, this creates an OBJ that is
to big to fit the original base figure when loaded in Blender, DAZ Studio. Don’t worry - Re-import the OBJ just saved using the Import button in the Tool palette
- Drop it on the document, go to edit mode, add V4 as a subtool to verify that
the scale is correct - Make the necessary changes like using the Inflate brush to expand the skin to be on top of V4
- Export the geometry by using PoserScaler. Voila! Start Blender/Studio/Poser and import your new geometry and it will fit just right.
