…don’t fall down !
Thanks for looking
Another hat makes onother man.
Hahaha, not Dominique, this one comes from the year 1500. Maybe Dominique is a zombie?
Fun with layers
very interesting! haven’t seen someone do this before.
How much photoshop painting did you have to do? Or did u just simply overlay them?
Nicolasmarks, not too much PhS. A layer with some coarse lines and lines to hide the contour a bit. I used also a grunge paper overlay.
Here some PhS-brushes I made.
Have fun!
Nice one Bas!!
He/it looks like an actor…and darn…now I can’t remember his name…
But very nice indeed…

Hello Bas,
Very artful and elegant treatment.

groBoto, thanks and keep posting those nice stylized shapes. Curious as I am, I downloaded Groboto-demo.
Testing VRay4C4D Basemeshes C4D and a lot of ZBrush
HAHAHA! that looks so funny! Some guy has stood in some poo, and can’t be bothered cleaning his shoe so he left it there! Thats really good lighting in this!
SadamHu, good shoe to throw…

Indeed, another genuinely funny situation…
I still remember “The Monster Who Was Nuts” from ZBrush past.
Hahahaha awesome!

PS:Bump or displacement or normal mapping or all three seem to be a little bit high on the brick wall and the pavement.
The environment looks great, but I don’t feel the character is at the same quality and it’s dragging the image down. I’d remove the guy, the bike, the shoe, and the poo. It could be a really nice environment piece for your portfolio.
Definitely looks professional, looks like a shot of a tv animation.
I agree about the guy holding it down but since it was a render test it’s not really on issue. I do think however that it is really blown out and the shadows are extremely harsh. Plus I think that it can use some atmosphere: like some fog, smoke, or something in the air—or even the air itself. Cool textures though and it is a funny situation.
Thanks for looking. It is a stange situation indeed. It started with a skinshader-test with only the head. Then I made the tricycle. I had nothing in mind when I did those buildings. The button on his shirt (SOS-Button) was made by another. He tried to help a C4D-user, but did not get any respons. So I gave it a place in the scene and had to change the story.
